Chapter 18: A Strange Meet

Few days passed away,
Riddhima and Vansh used to meet almost daily, for wedding preparations. All this while Riddhima was also treating Kabir. Her focus was on curing him, but his focus was on her. He started behaving as if he is improving, but truth was something else. Today, Kabir calls Riddhima and says,
“Riddhima can I ask you something?”
“Yes, of course!” She replies
“Can we meet today at cafe, I’m fed up of coming to your hospital everyday”
She chuckles and says, “Yes, no problem you send me the address, I’ll reach”
“No need”
“Why?” she asked in an astonishing way
“I’ll come to pick you up”
“Ok”
He picked her from hospital and they both reach at cafe.
The duo sat on their places, Riddhima started his therapy, but his creepy eyes were only looking her. He is not in love with her, he is obsessed with her, a unhealthy obsession.  His eyes fell on a man, who was smoking as Kabir lives life by getting intoxicated, he started craving for cigarette. Due to craving, he was desperate to smoke, though he don’t follow Riddhima’s therapy and just act like he is following each and every instructions. He still craves for intoxicated stuffs. Desperate Kabir starts sweating and his hands starts to tremble a little, Riddhima looks at him and also to his surroundings, so she understands reason behind his condition. She holds his palms tightly and ask him to relax by taking deep breaths. Her touch was sending chills down his spine as if it was some electrifying experience.
Just then Vansh comes there and he looks at Riddhima. He comes to her and says,
“Hii Riddhima!”
“Hii Vansh!” She exclaimed with a big smile
“You here?” He asked
“Yes! Actually I told you na Kabir my patient, who is more like a friend. He is Kabir and Kabir he is Vansh”  (In those few days Riddhima and Vansh had many basic talks so he knows that Riddhima treats a patient named Kabir)
Vansh looks at him and forward his hand for a hand-shake and says,
“Hii Mr. Kabir, nice to meet you”
“Same here Mr. Vansh” he replies in cold tone.
Riddhima asks,
“And you here?”
“Oh yes I was at a nearby hotel for my business deal and now I came here to take Nitya’s parcel. She’s coming in few minutes.”
“Oh! She’s here”
“Yes nearby hotel to meet her client”
“Oh!”
Vansh and Riddhima continued their talk and were laughing, teasing each other, Kabir was burning in jealousy and fuming in anger. He was shaking his leg in anxiousness as if Riddhima will go far from him and she is only his. Eyes red, fist tightly closed, he interrupts the duo in between and holds Riddhima’s hands and says,
“Riddhima I have some work, so will you please finish my therapy ASAP.”
“Oo ok”
Vansh notices his behaviour and also how suddenly he held Riddhima’s hand. He finds his behaviour strange, though he know that he is a patient, but still it was not patient’s strange behaviour. He understands that something is not right with him. The way he looks Riddhima tells something else, something weird, something creepy, he understands that. He tells Riddhima,
“Ok I’ll leave then and parcel is also ready, bye!”
But still he was doubtful, so he goes and sits in the car which he parked outside, just then Nitya also comes and sit beside him, but he doesn’t starts driving and was looking at the cafe constantly, she asks him,
“Vansh! What happened?……. Start the car, where are you looking?”
“Nitya…. Actually I went to cafe to take your order so I met Riddhima there. She was along with her patient named Kabir. So I find his
behaviour is quiet weird and strange”
“Means?” She asks in confusion
“Look I went to her and she introduced me to him and then later on I and Riddhima started talking, but the way he behaves is very weird”
“Vansh, but you only told know, that he is patient….. Riddhima is a psychologist, her patient have many issues so it’s normal to behave in weird and strange way”
“Exactly… I thought the same, but he was not at all behaving like that, I find him dangerous for her. The way he looks at Riddhima, it’s very weird. I thought I’ll tell you to see him once, so we should wait here”
“Okay!”
After few minutes Riddhima and Kabir comes out of the cafe. Vansh tells Nitya that he is Kabir by pointing towards him and she says,
“He is looking normal only Vansh”
“No, just a second Nitya”
He takes out his phone and calls Riddhima, she stops walking and takes out her phone to receive the call but Kabir was standing little behind her so he also reads the name of the person who was calling. Vansh ask Riddhima few random questions so that Nitya can get time to notice Kabir’s behaviour. Vansh’s plan was successful as Kabir started to behave the way he was expecting and Nitya was shocked to see his behaviour. Vansh cuts the call and tells her,
“See now you noticed how he behaves. I don’t even think that he is a patient, he’s just acting that’s it.”
“Yes! It was strange. I guess he is kind a obsessed with her and that too unhealthy. Means it’s not love but obsession. The anger which appears on his face, shows that he can kill anyone and his hands will not even shiver once.”
“Exactly”
“I think you should tell her about his weird behaviour, because he acts so well that no one will come to know about his such emotions. But you can’t tell her directly, try in a slow pace but at least tell her”
“Yes, I’ll tell her”

At Night,
Vansh calls Riddhima and tells,
“You remember na that tomorrow is haldi”
“Yes, I do remember Vansh and I’ll be coming on time”
“Good for you. Accha, Riddhima… ”
“Yes!”
“Your patient that Kabir”
“Yes!”
“You don’t find him little weird, I mean…….”
“No Vansh, why?”
“No……..like that only”
“Nothing to worry, he is not weird Vansh. Ok but now I’ll sleep, tomorrow morning I have to come at your place for haldi and if I’ll get late you’ll only scold me”
“Okay! Good Night Miss. Vyas”
“Good Night!”
