“How long will we be doing this to each other….?? Why is she behaving so cold and rigid towards me…?? Doesn’t she know it hurts me whenever she ignore me this way…..?? ” Shravan questions to himself looking at his 5.5″ mobile screen sitting at the corner of his bed…. He was scrolling through her photos and admired how beautiful and lively she was looking in each one of them.
“I know you are hurted shravan…. But I’m doing this for us… Why can’t you Stop me for once …..?? ” Sumo says to herself collecting her Visa conformation letter looking all pale and white…..
Sumo and shravan have everything in life….. A reputed job , handful of salary , own apartments , success and lots of cheerful friends for company…… Anyone who saw them on surface level wished to have their life… It was like a never ending party with unlimited supply of cocktail….. But….None of their nearest and dearest ones had any idea about the loneliness lingering like a dangerous dragger in their lives….
Brought up in a same background Suman and shravan knew each other from many years…. They were together during schooling , college , degree and even have managed to crack their job in the same company. They talked a little in person to person but thought and knew about each other a lot….
Shravan was a bit arrogant , rude and cold from outside but he had a heart of a sponge…. Sumo was strong , independent , confident and very competitive girl.
Ever Since from childhood both of them fought for marks , grades and ranks which had turned both of them into tight competitors and both being equals….; neither of them wanted to lose…
Shravan found everything in suman cute and beautiful….; her eyes , her smile , her hairs , her anger and her innocence everything fascinated shravan from childhood. He had said her a many times indirectly about his love and even has asked her out for a date but sumo has thought that he is doing all these out of friendship when he had no serious feelings towards her…..
Both of their mutula feelings were buried in their cold war of competition and the urge to settle better in life and kept on distancing them from confessing their feelings to each other…….
“Why can’t she say she loves me first…. ” was Shravans thought and ” I’m girl….. We girls can’t propose first…. Dumbo shravan never understand anything…. Let he only confess his feelings for me first….. ” was sumans theory….!!!
Other than this both Sumo and shravu had lots of family responsibilities on them. Suman had to look after expenses of Nanus medicine , preetis marriage her own education loan whereas shravan has the responsibility of expanding his fathers business…. Life has caught up these two love birds very badly…..
Working with shravan in same company was making sumans attraction towards him increse day by day making her no longer able to fight it…. She looked lost and disoriented most of the times in office and shravan never failed to notice it….
” Are you okay suman…..?? Lately you look much lost….. Is nanu fine…?? Any serious problems from home……?? ” Shravan asked out of concern handing her a hot cup of coffee during office break.
” I’m Okay shravan…..Don’t worry much about me….” Suman replied avoiding his gaze and finished the coffee silently.
” Sometimes when I say ” I’m okay…” I want you to look me in the eyes , Hug me tight , and say… I know you are Not….!!! ”
Suman thought to herself looking longingly at shravan.
She wanted to run away from her stupid emotions…. Very far…. A place where shravan won’t be able to find her…… She made up her mind and has applied for Visa so that she can settle down in New York — a place which she fascinated from childhood…..
It was a busy Monday morning and shravan was in his office on time. He waited for an hour and suman had not bothered to turned up……” Is she on leave….?? Is she sick….?? Did she go to meet Nanu…..?? Should I call pushkar and ask if he knows a out her whereabouts… ?? “. Shravan thought all possible ways to see suman back.
His tension and impatience grew minute by minute. He never knew her absence would scare him so much…. It was like he has lost his reason for existence….
He quickly got up from his seat and asked in the reception about suman…. ” Can you please tell why Ms.Suman Tiwari is absent today…..??” . His tone was filled with curiosity and anticipation filled with a small portion of fear in it.
” Sorry Sir…..; Suman Tiwari mam is not on leave…. She has quit her job yesterday……!! ” The woman said and shravans face went all pale and white like death has just asked him to enter his chariot…..
His mind went numb and haphazard at the thought of loosing her and his legs started involuntarily running towards her house. He found it locked which left him still more lost and disheartened…..
It seemed like all the doors were closed for him to see her again in his life….; He broke open the door of her house and hurried inside….but she was not there also…..
He checked her cupboard and table drawers to find any clues which finally came for his rescue….!! He found her Visa conformation letter and a broad smile built up on his face from ear to ear…..
” I’m coming for you Suman…..” Shravan said gleefully getting into his car and drove away fastly towards airport….. He had last 15 minutes in his hands to get her back into his life and shravan was determined to stop sumo from going away from him….
Shravan has finally realised that letting go Suman would make his life a barren land taking away his mere exisrance…. He was ready to confess how deeply he was living her…. Ever since the day he has met her…; 20 years back…..
As he reached the airport he ran like a wind searching his suman in every direction….; Finally he saw her standing alone at a corner….. ; her face devoud of any emotions or life on it…..
He ran towards her and shouted
” Suman………” It was loud enough for all the surrounding people to listen to his manly voice…..
Suman was startled at her place hearing to his voice and turned her head in the direction where his voice came….
” Shravan….. Tum…. Yahan…..; I mean…. How…. How did you know….?? Wh—y….. Why… Did you come…..?? ” Suman asked him with full of confusion and surprise
“I know you were trying to ignore me from a few days for no reason….. And…… I Wish I Could Ignore You…..Like You Ignore Me….. But I Can’t……!!! It hurts me when ever you break down in life…. But remember sumo running away is not the only solution left in your hands….. You only know I’m strong….But…. I’m not strong enough to bear the pain your dissaperance could give me….. My heart has stopped for a moment when I did not see you today in office……. ; You want to know why sumo…..?? Let me say it all to you today……. Because I Love You…… I Love You Sumo…… and I can no longer hide it…..” Shravan confessed his love looking straight into her dark black eyes with immense of love for her in them. He had held her so tight and close which showed how badly he wanted her back in his life. His eyes were mildly wet with tears which he was trying too hard to pish them back.
Sumans happiness knew no bounds as she heard those three Magical Words from her Shravan. After many years she has locked her eyes with shravan for so long…… ;She was barely able to breath due to his sudden grip and proximity between them. She raised her leg a bit and hugged him back wishpering ” I Too Love You Shravan….. Beyond the farthest galaxy and more than the uncountable stars above us……!! ”
” Is khushi mein…; ek kiss toh banta hai sumo….. ” Shravan says gigglingly and hugging her back tightly.
” Shravuuu…… ” Sumo laughs back and both of them walk hands in hands together out of airport to start their happy life ever after….. ❤❤??
