Title: The Thread of Her Dreams
Note: This one shot will be the continual of Episode 50 and what happens after Suman gets that letter of Shravan.
Here is the one shot.
Suman is lying down on the bed and she gets thinking.
Sumo: (in her mind) Is Shravan really going to leave for London tonight? Then will he never get to know how much I love him?
Tears drop from Suman’s eyes as she thinks about Shravan.
Sumo: 10 years ago, Shravan was too late in confessing his love and history is repeating itself again (tears drops from her eyes). This time I failed to confess my love for him.
Sumo: How I wish I got a chance to confess how much I love him!
Suman couldn’t do anything but to regret. Just then she hear a knock on the door as her eyes were about to get closed.
With a surprised look and confused who must be there at this time, she slowly walked up and opened the door.
And she got surprised as she opened the door. It was none other than Shr….Shravan!
Suman forgot to blink for a moment. She couldn’t believe it. She couldn’t believe the fact God was giving her a chance to confess her love to the love of her life.
Shravan was smiling as he looked at her. And as expected his Best Friend was surprised with the surprise he gave her!
Sumo: Shr…Shravan? You… but…
That’s all she could say as she didn’t know how to convey how she was feeling. Her nerves were doodling and her heartbeat was like up and down and up and down.
Shravan: My flight got delayed. Since dad also already left for this flight and I had nothing to do at home I decided why not I spend these last few moments I have in India with you!
Suman gets emotional as she hears about that. And tears drop from her eyes.
Shravan: Suman Tiwari and crying? Okay Okay then I leave right now.
As Shravan is about to go, Suman nods her head no. Shravan smiles and wipes her tears.
Sumo: (in her mind) “SOMETIMES WHEN I SAY “I AM OK”I WANT U TO LOOK ME IN THE EYES, HUG ME TIGHT, AND SAY, I KNOW YOU’RE NOT…!!!”
Shravan: Then what are these tears for?
Sumo: Sorry I just got emotional.
Shravan: Okay now let’s don’t waste and look I have only one hour and after that I will go the airport. By then let’s enjoy.
Suman nods.
Suman and Shravan are looking at the stars by sitting at the swing. Shravan is staring at them and Suman is lovingly looking at Shravan. And then Shravan looks back at Suman and then Suman pretends looking up at the sky. Shravan smiles.
Shravan: Sumo? Why are you looking at me like this?
Sumo: No I am not.
Shravan: Sumo, listen. I am sorry.
Sumo: (surprised) Shravan what?
Shravan: I am sorry.
Sumo: But why?
Shravan: For what I did with you in the reunion party. I shouldn’t have done so. I shouldn’t have took revenge. I should have understood that you have changed. I am so sorry.
Sumo: But Shravan?
Before Suman could complete her statement, Shravan cuts her,
Shravan: I think it’s time for me to leave now.
Shravan gets up to leave and he is about to go Suman holds his hand.
Sumo: Shravan please stay a little longer with me.
Shravan: Okay fine I will. (Smiling) But once again I am sorry.
Sumo: No Shravan, no sorry for that. In fact what you did that day was right. I actually somewhat deserved it.
Shravan: (confused) Sumo?
Suman gets up from the swing
Sumo: Shravan, I have got to know everything today.
Shravan: (confused) Everything? What do you mean by everything?
Sumo: I have got the letter that you wrote for me before leaving 10 years back. Today I found that in one of the book while arranging your books.
Shravan gets stunned over this.
Shravan: Look Sumo, I can explain.
Sumo: No you won’t say anything.
Suman comes to Shravan and folds her hands.
Sumo: Shravan please forgive me for what I did with you 10 years back. I must have hurt you very badly, right! And I wasn’t with you at your bad times, I am so so sorry for that.(tears drop from her eyes)
Shravan nodding no and separates her hand.
Shravan: No, Sumo please don’t say like this and well now everything got sorted out. I have forgot everything and so should you!
Sumo: Shravan I have a question?
Shravan: (trying not to look at her) What question?
Sumo: Do you still love me?
Shravan: Sumo, I am getting late for my flight now. I have to leave.
Sumo: Shravan you can’t ignore me like this. You have to answer me,
Shravan: Sumo, I wrote that letter 10 years ago. And I don’t know! I don’t know if I still… if I still love you. But yes you are always my Best Friend.
Sumo: Shravan are you sure?
Shravan: (avoiding eye contact) Hmm.
Shravan is about to go, Suman holds her hand.
Sumo: Shravan, there is something I need to tell you.
Shravan is silent.
Sumo: Shravan, I love you!
Shravan is shocked.
Shravan: Sumo?
Sumo: I wanted to say this for a very long time. As much as you loved me even I loved you. But I took too long to realise. As a result, I lost you for 10 years. But I can’t lose you for one more time. Shravan please don’t leave,
Shravan is shocked and having mixed emotions. And he is trying best to hold back the tears that are going to drop from his eyes at any moment.
He was awaiting for this moment 10 years back but now that it is here he didn’t know how to react. He wasn’t expecting that for 10 years, as he almost gave up on his love.
Shravan slowly leaves her hand and he leaves. Suman breaks down and falls on the ground. Shravan couldn’t see her like this and he makes her get up.
They both share an eyelock. Shravan cups her face and then he comes close to her and they share a lip lock. Suman closes her eyes and tears drop from her eyes. Shravan was lost in the kiss.
Suman didn’t know how to react. It was all of a sudden. For a moment if she could she could have given him a tight slap but she couldn’t imagine to hurt the love of her life and the feeling of that kiss was so intense that she also reciprocated.
After that they get out of the kiss,
Shravan: So should I leave now?
Suman nods by shaking her head no. Shravan smiles and makes her nod yes by shaking her head, and she gets emotional,
Shravan: Take care of yourself okay. And yes I love you.
Suman gets emotional and then Shravan leaves in the car. They both get sad as they remember about the sudden kiss they just shared but from the very bottom of their heart they are happy about it.
6 months later,
Suman is at home and it’s night.
Preeti: Dii, did you speak with Shravan today?
Sumo: Oh Preeti you don’t even mention his name in front of me!
Preeti: Oh so you both lovebirds again had a fight! Nothing can happen about both of you. Sometimes you both are lovebirds sometimes you both are tom and jerry and it’s your birthday tomorrow so at least don’t fight for now!
Sumo: Exactly! It’s my birthday tomorrow and there is still an hour for it! But this Chashmish! Since the day he went to London he is all the time busy with work, he can’t even spare some time for me!
Preeti: What Dii, you are so naggy! Every night after his work ends he calls you at least once on video call, at least appreciate that fact!
Sumo: You seem to be praising him too much!
Preeti: (winking) After all he is my to-be Brother in law.
Sumo: (raising her eyebrows) Preeti?
Just then Suman gets the phone and she gets shocked.
Sumo: You keep the phone and I am coming right now.
Suman quickly takes out the car and goes out in anger. Preeti looks behind as she sees Suman leaving.
Suman goes in the house and she marches inside the house angrily.
Sumo: (screaming) Where are you hiding coward!
Just then Suman looks up as she hears the steps and she looks up and it is none other than Shravan.
Shravan: Here I am!
Sumo: (scolding) What way is this to surprise me?
Shravan: I am sorry.
Sumo: It’s okay
Shravan passes Suman a piece of paper, and Suman looks at him surprised.
Sumo: What is this?
Shravan: Your birthday gift!
Suman reads it and she eyes Shravan emotionally.
Sumo: Shravan, this is… this house? You have named this house on my name? (Tears of joy)
Shravan nods.
Shravan: Happy Birthday!
Suman smiles and hugs Shravan.
Sumo: This is the best birthday gift ever! I thought I lost this house of my parents forever but you didn’t only return this house but my memories back to me! I don’t know how to thank you for this!
Shravan: Anything for you!
Sumo: But Shravan? How did you get this house? I mean how did you manage to convince Khosla?
Shravan tells Suman how Khosla came to him and requested to help his son to get admission in London as it was his son’s dream to study in London. Shravan instantly refused after what Khosla did recalling how much he made his love cry . Later he realised it was Khosla not his son’s mistake. So he agreed. Khosla realised his mistake and to thank Shravan he asked him he would give whatever he want. And you all know what he asked for.
After Shravan told Suman everything, he passed her the keys.
Sumo: Shravan Thank you once again for this gift! This is the best gift ever! First you returned and now this house! You fulfilled my dream!
Shravan: There is still one more to go?
Sumo: Shravan?
Shravan bends down. Suman looks on. Shravan holds her hand,
Shravan: That day I was confused and I wasn’t ready. But today I am! Sumo I love you.
Suman smiles.
Sumo: I love you too,
Shravan: And you have to get used to this everyday from now,
Sumo: (confused) meaning?
Shravan takes out something from his pocket and it’s a box. He opens it and it’s a beautiful diamond ring.
Shravan: Now that I am fully prepared today, I just have this question , Sumo will you marry me?
Suman gets emotional.
Sumo: Shravan?
Shravan: Please Sumo whatever is your answer I will accept it. yes or no?
Sumo: (looking away) No!
Shravan: (shocked) Sumo?
Sumo: (and then looking with a bright smile) Of course it’s an Yes! Idiot! I will marry you!
Shravan: (happily taking a sigh of relief) Sumo!
Sumo: I will really marry you! Now make me wear the ring.
Suman forwards her hand and Shravan smiles and he puts the ring through her fingers. Suman smiles seeing the ring.
Sumo: Shravan this was my best birthday ever! Now I don’t want anything. You have fulfilled both my dreams. One is this house and one is you. Today I have both of them. Thank you so so much Shravan,
Suman goes to hug him.Shravan lifts Suman and hugs her.
Shravan: I love you!
Sumo: I love you too!
A few months ago Suman thought she lost everything her Best Friend-the love of her life and her mom’s house. And getting this two most precious thing of her life was the best birthday gift she ever received in her 25th birthday -The thread of her dreams!
