Oberois Memories – Part 8

Hey guys again, Some of you cracked it. Yay. Now I’m just doing a quick updates because I was revising but sweet Zahara asked me to update and I can’t refuse now.

Part 8
Shivaay angrily goes to Anika’s room.
Shivaay POV
I don’t know what happened between this Karan and Anika but I am feeling mitchmichi something has happened and I will find out today. I go past Om’s room and I hear him and Rudra speaking.
Om- Rudra don’t tell anyone
Rudra- Ok pinky promise.
Om- Karan is not the best boyfriend material.
Rudra- WTF.
Om- He always would sleep with another and cheat with them and I don’t think Anika should go through this and everything.
My mind roared in anger. That Karan go die in Hell, no messes with my anika. I won’t let him even touch her after all she is ANIKA SHIVAAY SINGH OBEROI.
I open the door and start shouting at Om and pulling his hair and shouting at him.
Shivaay- Why did you not tell me Om. You just ruined Anika’s life.
Instead of being shocked both Om and Rudra started laughing.
Rudra- You feel for it badly.
I just realized what they had done but it was not funny it was serious.
Om- This is not true. We realized you were eavesdropping so were doing a bit of drama.
Rudra- You nearly pulled his hair out Shivaay.
Om – It took me ages to grow this.
I was getting mad. So I shouted at both of them.

Shivaay- You think this is a big joke. Well let me tell you this, You remember Daksh. Daksh Kuranna. That innocent Artist, the one who like Anika, well he was the one stalking her, he was the one that put stuff in mine and mum’s mind saying that Anika slept with him and got paid. He then found out that us two were married so he kidnapped her and tortured her. Shut her up in a box with water. She nearly drowned. Don’t you dare this is a joke. Is this what me and your parents taught you.
I couldn’t control it and I had slipped my tongue. Anika had told me not to tell anyone and I had told my brother. For the hundredth time I had broken her promise. They were both shocked with tears in their eyes and they walked off. So did I. Tia started calling me but I was in no mood to talk to her. All her nonsense like Shivaaayy baby drove me mad. I preferred Billuji.
I go to Anika’s room to see her thinking while twisting something on her wrist. It was her bracelet the one that always meant a lot to her.
Shivaay – Anika what are you doing.
She leaps up and hides her hand.
Anika- Nothing Shivaay trying to remember stuff,
I go closer to her and I can hear her heart beating.
Shivaay- Can you remember anything.
Anika- No, sorry.

Her eyes had me there were full of innocence that I would want to travel the whole world with. She tries to walk but I held her hand and I see something… a ring, a heck of kind, bigger than her champa diamond ring. That Shivaay Tadi came out.
Shivaay- You got married to Karan that….
I was about to speak but she covered my mouth. Tears were flowing through those eyes and part of me wanted to hug her.
Anika- Shivaay let me explain…
Shivaay- don’t bother..
Then I was shocked of what happened she hugged me and started to cry I sat her down and she started to tell her story.
Flashback
Karan- This is kind of a surprise( but goes down on 1 knee ) Will you marry me Anika.
Anika- Wo??
Karan- I know what you’re going through but I really love you and without taking an answer he puts it on her finger .
Anika- I just need time to think about it.
Karan- Sure we can be engaged for now.
Flash back ends.
I was surprised, All I could do was raise my hand and slap her. She looks up hand on the cheek where I slapped her.
Shivaay- What were you thinking huh. Are you mad. You know don’t even talk to me.
As I walk off, my cuff gets caught with her bracelet and with anger I pull it off breaking her bracelet her heart breaks as each singular bead breaks. I get to mad I get a knife and I cant believe I’m about to do this but as I bring it closer to my face she runs and holds the knife her flesh on the blade. No sense of pain hits her.
Anika- Shivaay what were you about to do.
Her hand was bleeding as so was her wrist but she paid no attention.
Shivaay- Are you fine?
Anika- Why would I feel hurt by this when I’ve felt worse.
She walks off. I was lost for words I was becoming a mess.
As I walk out I see Om and Rudra watching.
Om- What you did was not good Shivaay.
Rudra – Ditto.

Scene 2 Oberoi Dining Room
Anika comes late her eyes puffed up and red, and her check was glowing a bright purple-black, a bruise had formed where I had slapped her. I couldn’t even believe what I had done. She had came with a smile on her face but I knew that trick because I used to do that- she was dying inside.
Dadi- Anika puttar what happened??
Janvi- Yes what happened to your face.
Anika- I just fell down it doesn’t hurt so don’t worry.
Om- It looks like someone slapped you ( he looks at me with hatred in his eyes)
Anika- Om don’t be stupid.
Pinky- And look at your wrist and hands. Were you fighting with someone. Like you cheap people do.
Anika- No aunty.
Pinky- then were you trying to commit suicide because that would be better for everyone else.
Everyone looks in shock. I cant believe my mum just had said that, but I couldn’t talk .
Om- How could you say that Choti Ma. Do you have no heart,
Jhanvi- I hope you don’t mean that Pinky.
Dadi- This girl who has saved everyone in this family even you. She has saved our family respect while destroying her. Shivaay has ruined her life but has she said anything. If she wasn’t here your husband would be in jail, and Tia would of walked off with her husband with half of our property. Mind you words Pinky.
Anika- It doesn’t matter Dadi, If you are half dead inside then it wouldn’t hurt to be half dead. Words and actions at me don’t hurt me anymore.
Dadi- What do you mean??
Anika- (smiling) Nothing. You guys eat, I’m not hungry. ( she walks off)
Om- Are you happy now Choti Ma.
Pinky- I didn’t mean it, it just slipped out.
Dadi- Just because it slipped out doesn’t mean it won’t hurt. She already has put up with a lot. Don’t make it worse.
Pinky – I will go and apologize.
She goes to Anika’s room and starts screaming.
Everyone goes upstairs
I want to know what’s happened and its something to do with Anika. I run up the stairs and I see Anika on the floor with blood on the floor and pills in her hand. Before I can look at the pills. Om comes and takes the bottle in his pocket. He nods at Rudra and Rudra goes to the wardrobe and pulls an injection and injects Anika. Both of them are crying. My mum is crying as well she goes to me and dadi and Badi maa.
Pinky – I killed her. I killed Anika.
Shivaay- You haven’t don’t get upset she will be fine.
Secretly I know the truth, I have killed Anika. Rudra and Om lift anika to her bed they are hiding something they know something about Anika that I don’t know.
Anika wakes up and my soul lightens up
Anika- Om , Rudra( she hugs them.)
Pinky walks and sits on the bed.
Pinky – Anika I’m sorr…
Anika- Don’t say sorry when you didn’t do anything (she goes to sleep.)
I try to speak to her but Om stops.
Om- Anika needs her rest and she doesn’t need to stress more by speaking to you but you can do one job.
I would do anything for my Anika to be normal so I just silently nod.
Om hand me some bead. Its Anika bracelet the one I broke.
Om- Fix this. I means everything to her.
Everyone walks off except for Dadi.
I try to talk to her but she hugs me.
Dadi- I know you’ve done something Shivaay. You did something and you are the only one who can fix this. Billu you just killed my Anika.
I can’t do anything except nod because It’s true. I didn’t just kill Anika, I killed her soul
