~DON’T BREAK YOUR PROMISE!~
EVENING..
SIGHANIYA MANSION…
Uttara’s happiness knew no bounds seeing her sujata aunty. She immediately ran to her and hugged her crying. She saw her ragini didi coming behind as if she was lost in some thoughts. Breaking the hug with sujata, she went to her didi not noticing that sujata gasped for breath after breaking the hug. She hugged ragini making her almost jerk as she didn’t expect that, she was lost in her own world… only because of that Bhavendhar’s threatening words, she should have not gone against sanskar! she should have been strong as she is the elder and should have found the solutions but she was about to do what bhavendhar said to her.. tears brimmed in her eyes feeling very guilty, she was also very happy that now everything was settled.. she couldn’t control her tears and smile when her mother called her and informed that everything was fine! She took her hand and wrapped it around her sister hugging her back tightly… closing her eyes to control her tears from falling down…

she broke the hug and putted a smile on her face seeing uttara and then asked her looking around the house, “where are everyone?” uttara answered, “everyone went to some function hall, it is neha’s sangeet!” ragini nodded to her thoughtfully. So much has happened in their life that she even forgot for what they came to Patna! It was actually for neha’s wedding and it was arriving soon!! Suddenly her breath gets hitched, her eyes widened realizing that NEHA’S WEDDING IS GOING TO BE OVER SOON! The tears that dried long before again formed in her eyes as she remembered the sobbing whisper of her shona…

“let’s go away!”
And then ragini remembered what she said to her that day to convince her…
“we will go after neha’s wedding!”
She kept her hand on head frustrated while uttara and sujata looked at her confused as she paced around the hall worried…”what happened beta?” she turned to sujata hearing her and then looked at uttara and asked her, “how is shona?” uttara looked at her still confused but she said, “didi! Maa already told you in the phone na? shona didi is fine but she is still unconscious”. Ragini nodded to her thoughtfully…while uttara looked at her keenly, her sister looked very worried.. both of their thoughts broke when they heard sujata’s voice, “arey ragini beta! I came here to see swara! Take me to the hospital na!”

sujata said getting both of their attention.. swara is in this situation because of sanskar! she have saved her son’s life and its necessary to meet her! Ragini nodded to her and sujata walked outside of the home thinking that both would be following her… uttara was about to go following sujata when her ragini didi holded her hand… she looked at her and raised her eye brows asking a what while ragini questioned her whispering, “where is sanskar?” uttara frowned hearing this… she remembered her last meet with her sanskar bhaiya this morning when he looked so lost…so sick.. he looked very sad and hurt….

He was still sitting on the same bench letting the bone chilling cool weather caress him that made him shiver.. he frowned as the climate has changed again… it was too hot in the morning… his legs failing to move… his heart and soul completely numb because of his over flowing feeling that is newly found… newly realized!.. his eyes were still moist and red, don’t know how they never got dried even when he is crying from the afternoon… so blue under his eyes.. his cheeks still having the tear marks… the smile never leaving his lips because of his realization… tears seemed endless because of his guilt… hair so messy because of the wind…. Looked like a complete mad which he was indeed! This feeling was so beautiful, so mesmerizing, so different… it was giving him immense happiness making him mad but still there was pain.. pain for hurting swara! Guilt consuming him more and more pushing him in darkness and pain.. his eyes still staring the thread around his wrist…

tears continuously making his cheeks wet that was once caressed by her lovingly… for the sake of playing holi with him… for the sake of KISSING him… and even at their very first meet! A loud thunder sound was heard startling him finally bringing him to the world… he looked up and saw the moon which made him remember that he had go to his moon now…SWARA! And had to make things fine and that was going to be very difficult… he gulped feeling the guilt suffocating him… taking a deep breath.. he wiped his tears and finally stood up from the bench in which he was sitting for hours immersed in his love, guilt and pain!… he took his phone to check the time and was shocked to see so much missed calls… 4 missed calls from shomi aunty… 8 missed calls from uttara and 1 missed call from ragini…. He closed his eyes and sighed before calling uttara…

HOSPITAL..
Sujata hugged sanskar as soon as she saw him crying with the fear that anything could have happened to him if swara was not there! He hugged his mother back comforting her knowing the reason behind her tears… uttara already informed him in the phone that his mother has come to Patna! He broke the hug and wiped her tears. She caressed his bandage on his arm and looked at him teary eyed. He again wiped her tears and bent down to get her blessings. She caressed his hairs lovingly and then he got up and cleared his throat before asking, “dad didn’t come?” this time, sujata herself wiped her tears making herself strong and said, “I came with ragini! He told he will come alone! He must be on his way!” he nodded to her… his voice stuck in his throat.. tears almost brimmed in his eyes thinking what he is going to ask now… closing his eyes controlling his tears.. he opened them and continued in a choked voice, “how is swara?” his voice sounded too weak suddenly!

Sharmishta and ragini who was till now looking at the floor looked up at him.. “son! Come with me to Kolkata!” sanskar almost jerked.. why was his mother suddenly talking about going to Kolkata? He had so many things to settle down here…with swara! “but mom! Swara!” sujata sighed with tears hearing him.. of course she really didn’t like leaving swara like this! But sanskar had a very big hurt on his arm.. there was a hurt on his left palm too.. he looked very tired, pale and broken.. she wanted to take care of him and wanted to take him back to Kolkata.. to his home where he will be safe! “sanskar! day after tomorrow, it is neha’s wedding! They will come once it is over!” ragini closed her eyes hearing this and tears flowed from her closed eyes!

They were not going to come back if swara will be broken and will still be angry on sanskar! but she was unaware that things were already sorted between them during holi and also that sanskar loves her sister now! Even her mother was gloomy now because she told her about swara’s decision which she took the day when sanskar rejected her…AGAIN. “mom! It is night! We are not going to go now anyway. We have to go tomorrow! We can just wait for one more day and we all will go together!” by seeing the frown on his mom’s face, sanskar clearly understood that she was not going to accept! He had to do something! “but sanskar…” sujata started only to be interrupted by sanskar. “okay! Okay mom! We will go tomorrow!” ragini gets shocked hearing him! no, he can’t go away! He had to stay here and convince swara, she will be hurt if he just leaves her!

She tried to speak when sanskar said, “I will go and meet swara!” he immediately went inside the ward.. ragini looked at him, maybe she had to tell him about swara’s decision… she wiped her tears before turning to her mother and sujata aunty, “I will also meet swara and come!” both the ladies nodded to her. She saw uttara coming with a tray and two cups of coffee that she brought from canteen in the hospital. She got the tray from her and gave the coffee to both sujata and sharmishta. Shomi looked at her worriedly, ragini gave her an assuring smile before going inside the ward…

Opening the door and coming inside the ward, sanskar saw that there were no more wires attached to her. She didn’t look so pale now, she was just unconscious, she was fine! Sitting on the chair beside her, he just stared at her. After realizing his love for her, this is the first time he is seeing her. And it just feels too good, too different. Taking her palm and locking it between his hands, his tears drenching her palm as he whispered in a choking fine, “see! You are fine! It was you who were talking rubbish!” wiping his tears, he continued to stare her when he heard the door opening sound. He looked at the door and saw ragini entering.

His eyes were about to go to swara again when ragini said, “sanskar! you can’t go tomorrow…” her words not coming out because of her tension, closing her eyes and taking a deep breathe, she was about to continue when she saw that sanskar stood up from his chair and came to her. He said, “ragini! I lied to mom, it’s hard to convince her but I will do it!” her face gleamed hearing this, she looked towards swara who was lying on the bed peacefully. Wiping her moist eyes, she walked out of the door. She wanted to ask forgiveness to sanskar, she wanted to tell about swara’s decision to sanskar! but all her words disappeared seeing the state of her sister…
Sanskar looked back at swara after ragini got out of the ward. He again went and sat near her. He caressed her hair lovingly smiling with tears. She was fine! She was out of danger! He took her palm and rested it on his cheek like she has caressed always… whenever her feelings are overflowed.. whenever she is happy…

he closed his eyes pressing her palm more on his cheek feeling the warmth of her hand while her hand got filled with his tears. He sighed, don’t know what has suddenly happened to his mom that she was so adamant on taking him back to Kolkata. For now, he had told a lie to her that they will go and thought to convince her later, but if she didn’t gets convinced? “then, I have to go!” he himself answered to thoughtful question. He had to convince his mom now. He wiped his tears, keeping her palm back on the bed. He caressed her hair for one last time before standing up. He started to go out when suddenly his legs froze hearing a soft, weak and a choked whisper…
“DON’T BREAK YOUR PROMISE!”….
