I could barely walk with this big belly and all I could do was play with my legs on bed.I was only 18 and this was the worst time of my life.Yes,I know it’s a shame to be pregnant,without being married,and that too be pregnant at 18
Social expectations and parent’s shame was not a problem in my case.My parents supported me,although Sharma ji and Mehta ji ,our busy body Neighbours always said they were wrong. My parents were 37 and 40 respectively,and they were dida and Dadu.
Let’s talk about the man who made me pregnant.Dev dixit.he sounds like those rich types na?business tycoons etc.Ruko ruko,Dev was a very flirty guy but he was sweet and heart.

First day at st.stephen’s college,New Delhi. I adjust my checked red and black flannel,and walked in with my bio,chem books in my hand.
I was walking into college and this bike came in lighting speed until all the leaves and dust flew onto my face.My nicely cleansized face has become as black as pitch black and leaves were on my curls and neatly combed hair.
Sona:Hey!watch it!
Dev:Watch Your tongue ms.
Sona:Watch your bike mr.
Dev:my bike.
Sona:same logic.MY.MOUTH.
Dev:stop showing attitude
Sona:Stop showing style and say sorry.
Dev:*getting off his bike*hello?its not my fault.Who told you to walk her.look,when Dev dixit and his Girlfriend come into college,the whole college stays in.No one disturbs them.
Sona:Really?oh I’m so sorry*sarcastically*sir,please tell yourself and your sadakchap tapori Girlfriend that this is a shared ground..with everyone having equal rights.

Sona:you listen mr obodro.Park your bike somewhere and Walk like normal people.
Dev:you tell Dev dixit..yo;
Sona:You’re Not narendra Modi that I shouldn’t tell you anything.
Dev:show your attitude somewhere else.
Sona:Get out of my way.
Dev moves his bike with his Girlfriend right behind in her short blue dress.
After a while,Dev and sona’s hatred turns into friendship.
3 months later…
Dev:Sonakshi,I have been searching for you the whole college yaar.
Sona:Yea sorry I was studying with adi.
Dev:Who is Adi?
Sona:My Friend.
Dev:Only a Friend?
Sona:That’s very weird.Why?you can have friends who are girls but I can’t have friends who are boys?
Dev:Look,the only Girlfriend I had was Sanjana.And she also dumped me like 2 weeks after I met you.
Sona:Ok so.
Dev:why do u think I left her?
Sona:She dumped You?
Dev:Oh my god because I love you Sonakshi.
Sona stops.
Sona:You what?
Dev:*falls on in his knees*yes,I love you.
Sona:And what if I say…I love you too?*smiles*

3 months later.
Dev and sona are sitting on the steps on a Sunday afternoon when everyone is sleeping(hostel there).
They are holding hands.
Dev:Sona,what are Your plans after college?
Sona:I don’t know,maybe something related to nutrition?you?
Dev:maybe related to business?
Sona:But Dev,after college we will keep in touch na?
Dev:Ofc we will.*carreses her hair*and madam,I have to marry you know.
Dev continues to caress her hair.They come close..and they share a passionate Long kiss..Dev carries Sona up to his room and makes her sit.He kisses her cheeks and goes down her neck(kissing).sona holds his hands tightly.He removes her flannel and goes inside her sleeves shirt.He unhooks her bra and goes inside.They get intimate and consummate their relationship.
They wake up in the evening..
Dev wakes up first and rubs the back of Sona.
Sona wakes up and kisses him again.
She wears her clothes and so does he…
Sona ties her hair while Dev holds her by the waist
Dev:Thank You for that
Sona:*giggles and blushes*
2 months later:
Sona is sitting at home as college finishes and is helping her Mom doing the dishes when she vomits.when she checks,she finds out that she is pregnant.
Asha:Shona,How…
Sona:Ma…Me and Dev….Dev and I..*voice breaks*
Asha:Okay,let’s go to the doc and check…
At hospital:
Doc:Yes,you are pregnant. Congratulations!Where is your Husband?
Sona:*voice breaks*doctor..I…I’m not married…
Doc:oh..are you opting for abortion?whats your age?
Sona:18.No..I’m not opting for abortion.I want to keep this baby.
Doc:Beta…it will disturb your studies…are you sure.
Sona:Yes doc.
Back to the present:
Sona’s POV
I am sitting on the couch watching tv with my family.I start to feel contractions.OH SHIT.my water broke.I fall on the floor.My parents get concerned
Asha:Okay okay Sona relax we are bringing you to the hospital.
Bijoy:Shona don’t worry bache.
I reach the hospital,screaming away.The baby was kicking like mad.Aaaaah….
Doc:Okay,keep calm..
1 hour later…
Nurse:congrats!its a girl!
Asha and Bijoy laugh and smile.They go into the ward.
Asha:Shona.dekhu to zara meri pothi ko.
Sona:She has gone completely after me and You Maa…
Bijoy:And me…
Sona:nah…
All three laugh…
Sona:We’ll name her Suhana.we’ll call her Soha by love.
Asha and bijoy:Beautiful name Beta…
5 years later…
A bedroom is shown..(sona’s present room)The blanket is fully covering Sona and her angel.
Asha:ohho..both of you will never change..come on..wake up..it’s 7 am..
Sona and Suhana:Dekho Asha,today is a chutti.So aaj Maa beti 8 baje tak soyegi.
Sona gets Soha ready for school..Sona is now 25.
Drops her at school.She is adjusting Soha’s tie when a man comes from the other side.
Sona and the man bump.
The man is none other than Dev.
Dev:Can’t You see?
Sona:I’m so so;
She gets shocked seeing dev.
Sona:Dev….
Dev:Sona…Sona how are you?where we’re you after that day.
Sona:Tumse multub.
Dev:Sona..Sona I’m your dev..remember?
Sona:The same Dev who made me pregnant.
Dev:what?
Sona:yes Dev…I was pregnant after that afternoon.
Dev:I’m so sorry…
Sona:really…
