Newly married Devoleena Bhattacharjee and hubby Shahnawz Shaikh attend their first public event together
Actress Devoleena Bhattacharjee who rose to fame with her stint as Gopi Bahu in Saath Nibhaana Saathiya recently got married to her gym trainer Shanawaz Shaikh. The actress stepped out for the first time as a newlywed to attend a public event with her husband Shanawaz Shaikh.
During her interaction with the media, she was asked what she calls her husband, Devoleena said, “People around me know it. Since Bigg Boss people wanted to know who my Shonu is. Yes, he is only my Shonu.”
During a recent interview with ETimes TV, Devoleena talked about the new phase in her life and shared, “It feels great to be married to the one you love the most. I’m in my most happy phase and I want to just enjoy my happiness and create memories. Marriage is a special time for everyone so I want all positivity around me.”
The actress has been receiving a lot of trolling for her interfaith marriage. Talking about it, she said, “For trolls, I seriously don’t bother. With time, I have learned to avoid them. I have learned one thing… Logo ka kaam hai kehna.. But I can’t walk according to them. It’s my life, my decision. And I’m happy to find a perfect partner. And I’m so busy with rituals that I don’t have time. Else it’s a very good time pass to deal with trolls.”
