It was 8pm and I was feeling quite sleepy I am a big lazy head
I looked towards my phone it had many notifications and messages and I was not so interested to read them
My phone ranged
I thought to switch it off
But the called was my best friend so I had to attend the call
“no dude I can’t sorry” saying so I cut the call
I was feeling quite frustrated about the happenings
I laid my head on bed post closed my eyes tight and trying to relax myself
Kirti my best friend wanted me to attend the year new party and I didn’t want because I know he would also be their and after whatever happened in recent days its better that we maintain distance
She thought she would forget him start afresh but his memory was haunting her
She couldn’t get over him may be he was her true love but he doesn’t love her and this though just pierced her heart badly
They were office colleagues met during their internship it was more than a year they knew each other and she didn’t know when but she feel for him
And it pained her alot when she found that he was engaged
Stupid feelings and stupid me she thought and tried to move on but that’s never easy
She felt broken terrible at times
She lost her smile her glow
She failed to understand the emotional battle that was going on between her heart and mind
Thinking about that she fell asleep
Love games are terrible

Her sleep broke when she heard her phone ring
She gave a irritated look it was 10pm and the caller was kirti
“I said na I can’t come why don’t u just give up” she said irritatingly
“hello mam sorry to interrupt” the caller spoke from other side
“who is that and where’s kirti”
The caller explained that kirti got drunk and just got saved from an accident
she just cut the call picked her purse and hang her stool around her neck and ran from their to place where kirti was
when she reached their she was shocked finding kirti sitting on road their
“kirti” she ran to her
“hello ragu you are here”she spoke in drunken voice
“hello miss” she turned hearing the voice and was shocked to core

Both looked towards each other
He had a bright smile on his face seeing her and she was just lost in his smile and didn’t know how to react they were lost in cute eye lock which got disturbed by kirti’s voice
Ragini turned to her
“so she’s kirti your best friend” he asked and she nodded
“thank you for informing me and taking care of her” she said trying to make kirti stand
“umm your welcome”
“kirti yaar just stand properly” she said frustrated
“if u don’t mind I can drop you both its late and I don’t think u’ll get any transport easily”
“thank u but I can’t take her to my home or her home in this state” she said
It was true her parents were modern but at present her dadi was at her place she would just be furious about kirti and she couldn’t go to kirti’s place as all her family was out and she was staying at ragini’s place
“ok we can go to my farm house its some distance from here” he advised and she finding no other better option had to agree
He helped her to get kirti inside the car
He took the driver seat and she sat on passenger seat next to him
They both were silent didn’t know what to speak
He turned on the radio
He looked towards her who was busy looking out he smiled seeing her

Did he knew that he would meet her so he had just heard about kirti from her but never saw her
He was happy, happy to meet her after a long period of a month yeah that was true she all of sudden disappeared first she was to London and then he got busy he didn’t see her during the whole time and he missed her missed her so much
She was more than a friend from the first time he saw her he felt some tingingly sensation in his heart but he was stuck he was engaged but he was least interested and his fiancé knew and she loved some one else they agreed just for family and decided to back off at right time because if they say no their family would find more matches for them so for time being they played safe
He didn’t knew why she was avoiding him not replying to his texts not attending his calls all that hurt him
He wanted to confess to her his feelings but feared do she feels the same
“we reached” he said and she just nodded
Through out the journey she was stealing glances of him
He had grew a thick bread and was looking no less than a sanyasi( saint) only saforon clothes were missing if he was in those he would look pakka baba
But whatever he looked handsome
He was wearing a black thrice piece suit his look clearly stated that he was at some meeting and she hated him being so much engrossed in work that he forgets to look after himself and his health
He looked bit tried his shirts first two buttons were open giving a bit view of his well build chest
Anger rushed her veins thinking how other girls would gag at him
Whatever it was but he looked cute and handsome hot
What was she thinking she cursed herself for having such thought about him
She closed her eyes when she heard him call her
They reached his farm house the surrounding looked too quite
He helped her to take kirti to a room
Ragini was sitting in room near kirti all lost
He entered the room he had changed his clothes
“take this” he forwarded her a sandwitch
“may be you are feeling hungry” he said
She took that
“thank you”
He smiled at her
She had a bite of that
“waise was some stock available here” she asked
“yeah I maintain some stock here I do come here often”
“ohh” she said and then munching her sandwitch
He looked towards her how cute she looked
She was eating like a small kid
He was just staring her when sauce dripped near her lips
Her lips felt so luscious to him he just wanted to capture them
He mentally slapped himself for such thoughts
He looked towards the clock it was showing 11 pm
“where is kitchen” she asked
And he laid her direction
He didn’t knew what to do but he wanted to confess his feelings
But how he was confused

“ouch” she dashed him when she was coming out of kitchen
“sorry” he said checking if she got more hurt
She was just looking towards him his touch gave her goosebumps
“I am fine” she said
And he nodded
She walked but stopped when he called her
“yeah”
“are u feeling sleepy”
She nodded no
“wo I was not feeling sleepy so can we talk” he asked she was hesitant but agreed
They were sitting on couch
Silence
“so how is life going on he initiated the conversation”
They spoke for some time
“umm shall we go for a walk” he asked and she agreed
They were walking road
She was all lost and he was finding difficulty in saying his heart
“so how is your boyfriend” he asked and she looked towards him in shock
“I don’t have any boy friend” she said
He was feeling to dance but controlled himself
“why”
“never found some one like that”
“ohh”
“by the way what about your fiance”
Hearing that he felt shock and know slowly things were getting in his brain he knew she had some liking towards him but he failed to understand reason for her ignorance but know he could understand
“good but she is not my fiancé” he said
She looked towards him
“we both just agreed so that our parents won’t trouble us with new new proposals and she is in love with some one and same do me” he said
She felt happy hearing that but sad that he loved some one
“ohh so who that lucky girl” she asked controlling her emotions
“a very special girl do you wanna meet her” he asked excited she couldn’t say no
“come”
“where”
“to make you meet my love”
He said dragging her
Her heart was shrinking the every step they walked
They stopped near abridge
She looked confused
“come” he called her forwarding his hand and she just gave him
They stood near the bridge
“my love my life” he said pointing towards her image in water she was shocked
She looked towards him and he smiled
“u know the time I saw her I just fell for her , her kindness her care her naughtiness her madness everything was enchanting for me”
She had tears he wiped them
“no more place for this” he said
“I love you” he said hugging her tight
Just then they heard the crackers sound and looked towards in sky
He pulled her close happy she said to him she held him tight and slowly their lips met
“happy new year” he said breaking the kiss
“love you”
“this was the best new year”
“credit goes to the new year eve” he said
And she hugged him tight trying to embrace the moment
