ANIKA’S ROOM
[gauri left from omkara’s room without saying a word to anyone and entered anika’s room anika came out from changing room changing into her night suits she looked at gauri who came to her room so fast that cut on her leg was bleeding again anika noticed it]
Anika:[she said making gauri sit on bed and omkara,priyanka,rudra entered]gauri you should have been more careful why did you walked so fast and what was such important thing anyway[she says looking at priyanka and gesturing towards shelf of drawers]priyanka there must first aid box in second drawer just please get it[priyanka did what anika said]om why didn’t you stop her?
Omkara:[he took a step forward and said]bhabhi i tried but she wasn’t listening to any of us and didn’t told us what happened[anika looks at gauri who was all the while just looking at anika and her tears were welled up]
Anika:[a small tear escaped from gauri’s eyes anika asked her]gauri why are you crying is it hurting that bad
Gauri:[she looked away from anika to compose herself and then looked at anika and said]di why did wanted jump in river on the night of mahashivratri?[anika was taken back by her question and drifted in thoughts]
Omkara:[he and rudra was confused and came near both of them]gauri what are talking about and since when did you started calling bhabhi ‘di’ whatever it is we will talk about it once your first aid is done[priyanka who had came there with first aid box handed it to omkara]
Gauri:[she took first aid box from priyanka’s hand before omkara could take it gauri was being stubborn like child]no,i want to talk about it now. Tell me di why did wanted to leave me why did you wanted to jump in river that night?
Shivaay:[he had came there to check upon anika and listening to gauri’s words shivaay could hold back]what is she talking about,anika?
Gauri:[she was looking at anika and answering shivaay anika was also looking at gauri] i will tell you, about 12 years ago when we both were in an orphanage a night before i was about to get adopted,on the night of mahashivratri she was about to jump in river i followed her and when i realized her intention to suicide i went near her i confronted about it to her she asked me not to come near her or the river bank but still i didn’t listened to her and in process to save her i falled in river and that was last time i saw my elder sister she tried to jump but our warden came at right time and stopped her or else she would have jumped knowing the fact that she couldn’t swim lucky for me with flow of current i reached bareilly and my adoptive father found me
Shivaay:[after gauri completed there was silence for about 5 mins shivaay broke it]that means your anika’s chutki[gauri nodded in yes anika realized what just gauri said and she hugged her real tight]
Anika:[she said while hugging gauri]i am sorry chutki i didn’t wanted it to happen that way i am really sorry instead of you i got adopted by sahil’s parents but i was meant to be fell in river and you adopted it was all my fault to save me you[gauri broke the hug as well interrupted anika in between]
Gauri:[she said with still her hand on anika’s shoulder]di it wasn’t your fault and anyway i wouldn’t have made a great sister for sahil like you
Omkara:[he was thinking about the fact that gauri was adopted and he never bothered to know but he noticed gauri’s wound and said]gauri your leg is still bleeding it needs to be dressed[anika does gauri’s first aid and everyone leaves for anika and gauri to talk to each other about their lives gauri sleeps in anika’s room]
MORNING
BREAK FAST TABLE
[anika and gauri came late as they slept late omkara informed everyone that gauri is anika’s younger sister anika also invited anvith along for breakfast they came near table and pulled chairs to sit]
Pinky:[as soon as anika pulled her chair pinky taunted to both anika as well as anvith]since a roadside girl has owned this house she brings all the trash in this house itself and that trash stays here shamelessly
Anika:[she interrupts pinky in calming voice]auntyji please we all want to have our breakfast contently so i request you to stop your talks
Pinky:[she says raising her voice]OMM so you want to say that i am not letting have anyone breakfast happily here is that you wanna say?
Rudra:[he murmurs comment audible only to omkara and himself]for the first time she interpreted something right maybe[omkara glares at rudra and he understands that he should be quiet]
Pinky:[she continued with her taunting session in loud voice]first of all you are the one who came in our house to loot us and now you started helping people showing that you’re a saint,because of you [pointing finger to anika she said]my son suffered and now that he is happy you can’t see even that
Anvith:[he lost in his anger but he still talked to pinky in calm voice but mocking her in process]auntyji please stop it if you have problem with me staying in this house you can talk to me you and please just first decide yourself that why do hate her[pointing towards anika]you yourself are so confused in your anger that you can see the fact that why are you really angry and one more thing maybe you should take it as an advice let your son live his life on his own terms doing that he will be still your son and love you but if impose yourself on him he will be your son but he can never love you sorry if i hurt you but all i said was truth[he left from there to his room without having his breakfast]
GUEST ROOM
[anika came to anvith’s room he was sitting on couch and lost in thoughts]
Anika:[she wasn’t able to knock as she had a breakfast tray in her hand]may i come in[anvith looks at her and nods in yes anika goes inside keeps tray on table in front of couch and sits besides anvith] on behalf of pinky i apologize to you[anvith interrupts in between]
Anvith:it’s okay di you don’t have to be sorry for someone else’s mistakes[he looks at breakfast tray and says]di you could have send someone you didn’t have breakfast too
Anika:[she says giving him a smile]well you can talk about it later for now you should have your breakfast and you need to take your medicines[gauri interrupts their conversation]
Gauri:[she was standing at door with a tray of medicines in her hand]the kettle is calling the teapot black[she said to anika]di you didn’t have a proper breakfast and even you need to take your medicine on time too so before you ask him[pointing to anvith]to take his medicine first take your own[gauri hands anika her medicines anika takes it without any resistance as she knows gauri won’t take no for an answer]
Anika:[she looks at anvith who was looking at gauri with confused face]she is my younger sister chutki
Gauri:[she frowns at her introduction and says]di please at least tell him my name not what you call me i may be chutki for you but i have good name and that is ‘gauri’[anvith was shocked and surprised]
Anvith:it’s strange that both of your names are similar to my sisters name i also had one more sister her name was gauri
Gauri:[she gets suspicious and says]did you had sister named anika also[anvith nods in yes with smile]
Servant:[before gauri could ask anvith anything further servant interrupts them]anika ma’am this is hospital report arrived for you[servant hands report to anika]
Anika:[she makes excuse to gauri and anvith]it must be my blood reports i had given it to find out my blood group[gauri knows that anika is lying but before gauri could ask anything futher she leaves from there]
[anika she came to her room and opened the reports which servant handed her they were not her blood reports but they were reports of dna test of herself and anivth’s anika had asked doctors to take sample from cotton used in cleaning anvith’s blood the day he met with accident she opens the folds of reports and reads it when she realizes the reports are positive she was happy as well as sad,happy because she has got her brother back anika stays entire day in her room she had lunch but in her room itself she was afraid of facing gauri as well as anvith she had even dinner her room after dinner when everybody was asleep she went sat in garden she just sat on bench silently looking at moon and a lone tear escaped her eyes]
Voice:[it came from anika’s behind]you can share it with me[anika turned to see who is it and was shocked the person standing in front of her must be the last person on earth anika would have expected it to be]
