Neerja refuses to believe Didun’s version of events and becomes angered when Didun suggests that Protima is also part of the brothel.
Neerja raises a hammer, determined to defend Protima’s reputation, while Didun recalls a past encounter with Protima where she asked about Neerja’s whereabouts. In the jail, Neerja confronts Protima, showing her the nurse’s uniform and asking for the truth. She questions why no one wants to help Protima due to her connection with Sonagachi. Neerja pleads with Protima to confirm that she is a nurse, promising to accept whatever Protima reveals.
