Nazdeekiyan: Chapter 1 (Riansh fan fiction)

Hello guys!

Riddhima’s POV:

I am Riddhima. And today’s my so-called marriage. After aai passed away. Baba never gave me the love and affection, I craved. And just one week before, it was my 25th birthday party. And three days back, I got the news that my marriage is fixed with Kabir Shekhawat. Slow claps please! Everyone thinks that I am toy, whenever one wants plays with me!!

I met with Kabir yesterday after convincing mom for half an hour. Mom is just like aai to me. All step mothers are not bad. But, it’s true, none can take place of aai in my life.
Now, let me tell you, what I heard, day before yesterday, when I was eavesdropping Mom and Baba’s conversation!

Renuka (Riddhima’s mom): Raj, marriages can not take place, just by knowing name! What Riddhima knows about Kabir. You only tell me?

Raj: But, you know Kabir, Right?

Renuka: I don’t know him that well, too. And Riddhima have to marry Kabir. So, she should know him before the marriage. I just met him at our business parties, that too as far as I remember not more than twice or thrice. And, I know Kabir, that’s the only main reason. I am asking, let Riddhima and Kabir have a talk before marriage.

I face palmed. Like, seriously? She thinks I will marry that Angry man! Never!

Raj: What’s problem with Kabir? He is good looking, well mannered and belongs to a rich family, too.

Mom just asked him to let me meet that Angry man. And he went in different topic.

Renuka: But, still let them meet! Atleast for your daughter.

Raj: Just because you want so. I will let her meet.

He said keeping his hand on hers and squeezing it.

So, fast forward to yesterday. When, I met that Angry bird. Well, you will also come to know, why I gave him that name!

Mom and Baba left us in my room. So, that we can talk. You know, before meeting him, I really had a feeling this marriage can happen. But, I don’t think so now! Today there won’t be any bride in this marriage. Anyways, let’s move back to the story.

I gave him a slight smile and in order to start a conversation, I said-
“Hello, Kabir!”

“Hello, miss…”

He didn’t even knew my name, slow claps again.

“Riddhima.”

“Yes, Riddhima. So, what are your plans about marriage? And I want to clear one thing, I have Ahana in my life. I won’t leave her. After marriage, you having any relation with other guy, won’t trouble me”

What a guy! Baba found indeed different guy in this world.

“I- I don’t think, I will be able to say yes for this marriage, Kabir”

“Riddhima, my mom and dad want this marriage to happen. And I said, right? I won’t have problem, if you will have any relation after marriage. Let it be even three or four guys”

How can he think so cheap about me?

“Kabirrrrr, enough is enough” I said with anger.

“What’s the problem in saying a simple yes?”

“I don’t want this marriage!! I hope, I’m clear, Mr. Kabir Shekhawat”

I left the room. Is he psycho or what? He is having Ahana in his life. And, still….! I hate him!

So, there’s still a question left, how baba agreed for this marriage? He thought, I lied to him.
Well, he is right! I am the only wrong person, here!

So, let me actually tell you, what happened.

“Baba, I don’t want this marriage. That k-“

“I don’t want to hear anything else, Riddhima! He is a good guy”

“Baba, you believe that man but not me!?”

“Riddhima, I know that you are expert in creating lies since childhood. And, I’m sure. This is one of your lies. As you don’t want this marriage”

“You know what, if only aai didn’t left me. Nothing sort of these must have happened”

I said wiping my tears.

“Riddhima beta, atleast listen once! Renu, give some brain to this girl!”

“I don’t want any thing. I just want to be alone!” I shouted.

And I came to my room.

“Riddhima, whatever was written in your destiny happened with you. Now, you will have to accept the reality, beta” mom said looking in the mirror and then kissing my forehead. She put a kaala teeka on my face. After admiring and then comparing me with an angel who just came on earth! She left the room.

As mom left, I quickly called Sejal. I wanted to inform everything to her, when my marriage date was fixed. But, I didn’t planned and did anything in these three days, instead of crying. But, not any more! I’ll run from this marriage, that’s final!

“What wisely? And which family, the one who is pushing me in a devil’s den?”

“But….”

“Help me or I will slit my hand!”

Waise, I am not going to kill myself. I have to live long. But, this dialogue and emotional blackmailing was needed.

“Don’t you dare!!”

“Give me an idea, then”

There was silence for few seconds. Then, she spoke.

“Book a cab….go to sunshine hotel. And my friend’s father is it’s owner, so it’ll help you! And…”

“Thankyou Seju!”

“Be careful, and if you will ever say about killing yourself and all, I’ll kill you first! Inform me after reaching!!”

“Ok. Bye!”
Saying so, I hung up the call.

Now, I packed my necessary things in a small or not so small bag. I sighed after packing the bag and then, holding it in my hand. I walked in my room, checking that was it light enough for me to handle while walking or running. Glad it wasn’t too heavy for me.

I was about to change my bridal attire to something normal. I heard footsteps. I felt appropriate to run at that time, rather than thinking, hiding or changing dress.
