It’s not a love story but a reality check of todays world…….
I m posting it on nami’s birthday as name is a mumma’s boy n love his mother the most….. n even I love my mom the most….
To be loyal this story’s plot is mine totally….
But this idea came to my mind after I read a Marathi plot story with similar message so thought to share it with you….
I have used just 25% of the story I read and 75% is of mine…..
It totally revolve around the mother’s hard work which created her child….
I m using Marathi base totally….
I hope you take it healthily…..

CHARACTER SKETCH…..
Laksh Kulkarni:- 27 years old….. A young businessman who has his own 3 star hotel n chain of snacks centres in Mumbai at such young age……
Annapurna Kulkarni:- Laksh mother n his world…… She is a widow…. Her only reason to live is laksh…. he got all his good morals from his mother….
Ragini Joshi-Kulkarni :- Wife of Laksh…. She belongs to a upper middle class family….. They had a love marriage…. She is good at heart but a bit immature and aggressive….
Shekhar Joshi:- Ragini’s dad…(cameo)

The scene opens in a big 3 BHK flat in a Lavish area of Mumbai…..
We can hear a woman screaming its Ragini….
She is wearing a baby pink kurti and a white leggings….
A women in mid 50s wearing a cream color simple cotton saari n hairs braided in a bun is seen sitting on a chair weeping silently….
Laksh too is standing with an angry face wearing a black shirt and jeans…..
R:- Laksh I have kept my ring on dressing table only just an hour ago…. and no one except ur mom had come to our room…. so its oviously ur mom who took it….. Laksh it was the diamond ring u gifted me on our marriage’s first month anniversary….
L( A bit rasing his voice):- Ragini just shut up…. mind ur tongue…. u r taking about ur MIL and my Aai (mom)…. u know she can’t do something like this….
R:- Ha she is ur mom na… u will take her side only…. I m no one to you…..
Laksh’s anger bursted he slapped Ragini…..
Ragini feel on the ground harshly and held her chick with her palm while crying in same position…..
Ap got shocked so she stoodup n slapped laksh…..
AP (crying badly):- this is what I had taught u??? To raise ur hands on a woman n that too ur wife??? I m ashamed of u Laksh…. U too did the same mistake today what ur baba(father) did…. u too proved that u r also that persons son becoz of whom u n ur mom suffered…..
Laksh nodded in no while crying…..
AP went to Ragini and made her stand but after getting up Ragini jerk APs hand and AP was taken aback by her action…..
R (To Ap):- See aai u got what u wanted… My Laksh slapped me becoz of u…. u were always not happy with me as u wanted to bring ur brothers daughter as ur DIL for Laksh… but Laksh brought me….
AP nodded in no while crying…..
R:- Congradulations aai….
Saying this Ragini went to her room….. Laksh sat on his knees with a thud and AP too brokedown sitting on sofa…..
After 15 minutes Ragini came back with her luggage…..
AP:- Ragini beta where are you going…
R:- To my aai-baba…. I can’t live with a man who can slap me without any mistake of mine…. and Mr. Laksh Kulkarni I will come back then only when u will come to my parents home ask me sorry and bring me back….
AP:- Ragini bala tumcha gairsamaj zalay… aapan bolun nistaruna sagla… pan asa sodun jaana barobr nai a ga… Laksh thambav tila…. (Ragini beta it’s a misunderstanding….. we will clarify it by talking….. but just leaving like that is not correct…. Laksh stop her)
But Ragini didn’t bothered……..
As she was about to cross the door Laksh intrupted….
L:- Ragini stop….
Ragini stopped but didn’t turned…..
L( with guilt in his voice):- I know I shouldent have slapped u but u were blabbering shit about the person who don’t know how to take something from someone….. she only knows how to give happiness to all and taught samething to me….
But before you leave I just need to explain u who as a person she is as you don’t know even a bit about her…. So plz wait for a while….. Atleast for me and our love…..
Ragini sight and wiped her tears while turning and came in….
Ragini stood in front of Laksh in middle of hall and AP too was somewhat relived….
R:- Tell me what u want to tell…. I m here just for the sake of my love…. my lucky……
Laksh let out a sigh and went to a weeping AP and made her sit…. while Ragini turned her face to other side annoid….
L:- Ragini you know only ur Lucky but she is the person who made me Laksh….
FLASHBACK STARTS….
DP was a pandit by profession so family’s economic status was not so good n when Laksh was 6 years old DP died of heart attack….
They had a small 2 room kitchen hall house in an old chawl of Mumbai….
AP somehow managed the expences by stitching cloths and working in some house as maid….
But in an expencive city like Mumbai the penny she used to earn was too less….
The amount she use to earn was sent most of the time for daily expences, Laksh’s school fees n educational stuffs n household expenses….
Even Laksh after his school worked in a grocery shop as a part time worker and study late night….
AP have to adjust in everything for her sons future but she never complained….
Many a times the edibles they had were not sufficient then the situation would be like this…
AP use to make two chappaties from the remaining floor during month ends n thencall laksh only after serving them for him n closing the lid of emply hotpot…..
L:- Aai tu nahi khanar???( mom wont u eat)
AP( cared his face n pointing hotpot):- my chappaties are in that u have this hot one n then i will eat later….. I m not hungry now…..
But Laksh use to know that AP is lying n use to eat only one chappati n drink water saying he is full even if he was hungry…….
AP’s knew this trick of him n her eyes use to moist at this maturity of her son at such young age…..
Even all the neighbours were cooperative and use to help them when required….
Laksh was a bright student and got many scholarships since his elementary to his high school….
He started his own snacks stall when he was in 11th with the help of some of his friends….
He named it “Annapurna Snacks Point” and AP cried out her agony of this much years in his embrace…. (In India Annapurna is goddess who provides food to all)
The moment he gave his first earning to AP, she had a smile of winning a war…..
One day a customer of him offed him his house vacant place to start his own snacks center with minimal rent as his hand made food was of good quality, hygienic n tasty…..
AP too use to help him….
AP knew Laksh loves cooking so she made him admit in a hotel management institute with the amount she use to save for him since his childhood….
His snacks centre was managed by his friends for the time he use to b in his collage…
In his final year off course Laksh was the perfect of all and soon he extended the branches of his snacks center in different parts of mumbai n even started a 3 star hotel in Bandra in partnership with one of his well to do friend from his institute…..
He brought a new phone for AP n even taught her how to use it….. She was so happy when she was finally able to operate it….
Soon Laksh bought his own 3 BHK flat n that was the happiest moment for AP to see her sons success…..
Ragini was a modern girl from a well to do family but she lost her mother at the time she was born n was a too pampered child of her father who was a single parent n she was his only child…… she didn’t liked anybody’s interference in her life….
She has her own Women Salon & beauty Spa beside Laksh’s hotel where they mate first and their love story blossomed….
AP too liked her n loved her a lot as she had always carved for a daughter…..
Shekhar was initially against their marriage but AP made him understand that their happiness is with eachother…..
So he too accepted them as he knew that only AP n Laksh can shower her with love she carved since her childhood…….
they were married just 6 months back with a grant Marathi style wedding with Band Baja Baraat…..
AP gave her all the freedom she wanted…..
But Ragini felt even a bit of her interference as her taunting as she was never habitual of anyone’s interference in her life…..
AP felt bad but she let go of it for Laksh….
Laksh who use to get annoyed due to this behaviour of her also tried to make her understand but they ended up fighting…..
Even if it was Ragu’s mistake AP use to make Laksh understand that she is new n need time to adjust…..
FLASHBACK ENDS…..
AP was in tears recalling all this bad time of them….
Laksh went to Ragini who was sitting on couch with her head buried to ground and he kneeled before her making her face him by cupping her face…..
L:- Ragu now too u think she might have taken it??? She dint even asked me for anything all this years….. She accepted u as her daughter and not her daughter in law….. then how can she take something from her without asking….
Ragini was about to speak but just then the security came there with their maid who was crying….
Ragini moved to them wiping her tears…
R:- Ramsingh (their guard) what happened?? N why is shanta tai( their maid) crying???
Ram kept a ring in her hand n that made all scoked as it was the ring which Ragini was finding….
Ram:- Madam she was not having this Ring when she came but now while leaving when smita( lady guard of society) checked her we found it inside her cloths….. (in high profile socities here they check everyone too strictly and even make a list of things they bring n compare it with the things they take….. Even the cloths are checked….)
Ragini’s anger reached peak n she came forward n was about to slap her but AP held her hand stopping her….
AP:- Ragini no beta don’t do something for which u will regret later….
R(calmed herself a bit):- Y u did this Shanta tai??? Didnt the money we give u as ur payment enough for u??? N u didn’t even felt ashamed??? It was Aai who insisted me to appoint u due to ur poverty n now when I was blaming her u just left without regret??? What made u do this…???
Laksh n AP were amazed as its first time Ragini felt concerned about AP since they mate….
R( in anger roared):- Speakup damit….!!! N ya u r already fired….
S( held Ragini’s feet while crying):- Nai tai mala kadhunaka kamavarun( no madam plz don’t take my job away)…. I need this job….. I needed money for my son’s school fees and dead line is of tomorrow… I wanted to ask u for advance but I cant pay u back so huge amount even if I serve u for years so I stole this diamond ring of urs….. I m sorry…. I did it just for my child…..
Ragini kept a hand on her stomach recalling something n her eyes weldup….
She sigh n then asked..
R:- How much money u need tai (didi)???
Laksh n AP were shocked at her calmness n smiled among their tears….
S:- 20,000 Madam…..
Ragu went inside the room n came back with money….
R( forwarding money to her):- Take this…..
S:- but tai how will I pay it back???
R:- who said u have to pay it back….. just make ur child study n tell him to become a good man with his efforts….. Like Aai made my Laksh…. (She said proudly while looking at AP)
AP was proud of her today and kept her hand on Ragu’s shoulder n blink her eyes appreciating her….
Laksh too felt releaved n side hugged Ragini….
S:- thank u tai…. me tumche upkar kadhi nai visarnar….( thank u tai n i will b always thankful to u)…..
Saying so she n guard left…..
As soon as they left Ragini hugged Ap while crying badly n buried her face in her chest….
R( weeping n sobbing):- I m sorry aai….. plz forgive this stupid daughter of urs……
AP(smiled nodding her head in disbelief n cared her back lovingly):- Shush bas beta… ( Enough my child)
Laksh to wiped his tears of happiness….. but suddenly AP felt a weight on herself …..
AP tried to make her stand and Laksh to find something fishey through AP’s expressions n he helped her only to find a fainted Ragini….
They got panicked and Laksh carried ragini in bridal style n made Ragini lie on their bed…..
AP( sat beside Ragini n held her palm in hers with concern):- Laksh doctor priyala phone lav (Laksh call doctor priya)
(Doctor priaya is their neighbour who is a gynaecologist n even Ragini’s close friend…)
Laksh nodded while panicking n rushed out to call her…..
After sometime….
AP n Laksh were in living room as doctor was examining Ragini….
AP was sitting on couch and Laksh was pacing to n foe in tension….
Just then priya came out smiling….
Both rushed to her….
AP(confused):- Priya beta why r u smiling n how is Ragini??? What happened to her???
Laksh too gave her a questioning look….
Priya smiled and held AP’s shoulder in excitement n spinned along with her…..
P:- Kaku tumhi aji honar ahat, Laksh dada baba honar a n me mavshi….. ( aunty u r gonna b grandma, Laksh bro is gonna b dad n i m gonna be maasi)
N then as she stoped….
AP n laksh smiled n rushed in the room while Priya left from there smiling….
Ragini gain conscious n tried to sit but felt weak…..
AP helped her to sit n kissed her forehead…..
Ragini gave them a questioning look n Laksh kept her hand on her stomack along with his….
Ragini knew the news before itself as she fainted a day before in parlour…… n one of her customer who was fortunately a doctor confirmed the news….. So she felt concerned about shanta tais son as she to is going through a maternal phase….
She hugged AP tightly n smiled amongst her tears…..
AP made her sit and wiped her tears nodding in no…..
AP(giving Laksh the ring stoled by shanta):- Laksh make her wear this for now….. I m gonna make more jewellery for my daughter… but that too will b less for the news she gave us…..
Laksh made Ragini wear the ring n then he clicked a selfie where Ragini cuddled AP like a baby Koala cuddles his mother….
AP:- I m gonna complete all ur n my grandchild’s wishes which were left in complete during Laksh…… Now I m going to make my Daughters favorate badam ka halva( an Indian sweetdish)….. U like my handmade halwa na???
Ragini cutely nodded in yes while poting n AP smiled at her childishness…..
AP left them alone for some privacy……. N ragini n Laksh hugged eachother tightly…..
Laksh kissed on her stomach above her top n Ragini combed his hairs with her fingers while blushing…… And the screen goes blurr…..
The time went swiftly with all tantrums and carvings of Ragini and AP was all time ready to fulfil them even at night time…..
Ragini got all the love of mother for which she carve since childhood from AP n they both were always a team against Laksh for irritating him…….
In her second trimester it was detected that she was carring twins…..
Laksh made the third empty room as childrens playroom as he want to give all the happiness n expences to his children for which he carved since childhood….
Ragini went to parlor till her 7th month and AP use to accompanist her there to take care of her… as she knew ragu was too careless n now Ragu too loved this…..
Later the parlour was handled by Ragini’s assistant n Ragini was supposed to join only after 6 months of her delivery that too just a few hours visit one a day…..
Ragini had a grand godhbharai in her 7th month in their own hotel’s banquet…..
Two months later…..
Scene starts in hospital where Ragini gave birth to twins a son and a daughter….
They named their son as Gaurav(pride) n daughter as Sanskruti(tradition)….
And screen freezed on their happy family consisting of AP, Shekhar (Ragini’s dad), Raglak n both of their bundle of joy in their hands……
