Durga Prasad Maheswari (DP) is the strict headmaster of Gurukul, a prestigious all-boys university. DP wants the best out of his students, and places emphasis on tradition, honor and discipline. He has run the university for 25 years and over that time, he has forbid the students from any kind of romance — anyone he catches falling in love will be expelled.

The film focuses on three of the school’s students: kunj Sarna , Laksh Sharma and Sanskar Kapoor who all fall in love. Kunj is in love with Twinkle Taneja , his childhood friend. Laksh falls for Swara Bose , a student at the all-girls university next doorto Gurukul.Sanskar becomes smitten with Ragini Sengupta , a widow.

Arnav Singh (asr in ipkknd) joins Grukul as music teacher.He challenges the status Quo and slowly introduces changes that DP dislikes. Arnav is a strong believer of love, and when he learns the stories of the three boys, he encourages them to follow their hearts. The boys take his advice, but are disappointed: Kunj discovers that Twinkle has a boyfriend (yuvraj); laksh only makes swara dislike him when trying to woo her; sanskar learns that ragini is married to a Sahil Sengupta who is assumed to be dead. Arnav tells the boys to not be disheartened, and tells them that his love, Kushi is dead, but he continues to love her and imagines that she is still by his side. Arnav encourages the boys to continue to stay loyal to their loves.

One day Arnav throws a party in Gurukul, inviting the students from the girls’ school from next door as part of his plan to spread love in Gurukul. DP is furious and threatens to fire him. Arnav then reveals his actual name Arnav S Raizada ..he was a student at Gurukul years ago, and he fell in love with Kushi, who was DP’s only daughter. Dp had Arnav expelled without ever seeing his face, and afterward Kushi committed suicide. Arnav returned to Gurukul as a teacher in the hopes of changing DP’s ways and honoring his love for kushi. Arnav promises that before he leaves Gurukul, he will fill it with so much love that even DP will not be able to remove it. DP accepts this challenge, and allows Arnav to continue as a teacher for some time….

Kunj , laksh and sankar one by one win over the girls they love. DP retaliates by tightening the rules of Gurukul, but the boys continue to break the rules, which encourages other students to do the same. DP finally decides to expel the three, and Arnav speaks up on their behalf, telling DP that he is the instigator and the boys should not be punished for it. Arnav also says that he feels DP lost the battle, because his daughter left him and now Arnav(who considered DP an elder) is leaving him. Arnavs words make DP realise his mistake. He publicly apologises to the students and steps down as the principal, allowing Arnav to take over. arnav turns Gurukul into a love-filled university. In the end arnav, Dp and a vision of kushi walk happily together towards the gates of Gurukul.

How much hate exists in the world!
