………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………….
A house comes to our vision. It stands on a 7 cent plot. Though the house is not very big, it is very beautiful. It has a very pretty garden with blush pink and red color Anthurium, white and yellow color Roses, violet and white color Orchids, Euphorbia enclosing a lush green lawn. There is a small pond in the shape of club (playing card) at the heart of the garden with the statue of Rabbit near it. There is also a swing in which 3 or 4 people can sit at a time in their garden. So in short it is breathtaking.
But all that glitters are not gold. The inner turmoil of the house spoke a myriad of emotions. Tension, anger and sadness predominating among others. A man in his mid forties can be seen sitting on a sofa chair. His eyes are set on the mobile phone which is placed on the teapoy in front of him. Suddenly he let out an exasperated sigh and started pacing up and down the room. It is well clear from his body language that he is tensed about something. This is Dilip Mishra, Radhika’s father.
Just then Mala comes to him and timidly (Dilip is not in a conversational mood) says: “I’m really tensed Dilip. Why are they so late???? It’s high time for them to be here…….. Did you call them??????? Do you think……..” Mala left the sentence trailing.
Dilip turned to her with a red face (due to anger): “I already called them twice. No response. Don’t you understand what that means?????? Or should I explain in detail????? I warned you from the beginning not to support her. But you wouldn’t listen to me. Now let’s face the consequences together. “
On seeing Radhika approaching them he yelled at her at the top of his voice.” Happy that God has heard your prayer???? This is what happens if you do your job dutifully. Didn’t I tell you that this job is not meant for girls????? But you didn’t listen. You already brought us enough shame. Your 2 marriage proposals went wrong???? Do you hear me???? Two. If history repeats again don’t expect to see me alive tomorrow morning.” Saying this he stormed out of the room to the garden to calm his nerves. Mala too followed the suit after giving her a deadly glare which meant she would commit suicide.
Radhika, who was controlling her tears till now broke down after hearing those words. She slumped down on the floor and leaned on the wall to support her. Tears fell down her eyes in a rush. It seemed as if they feared they would never see day light again and would be stuck in her eyes. But this act gave her huge comfort. She closed her eyes and remembered that day which changed so many things.
………………………………..FLASH BACK………………………………….
Radhika was wearing a blue leggings and top (The same one which she wore on the day Arjun accused her of cheating BS) with an ID card dangling down her neck. She was in a cab on her way to hotel- ‘Blue Lace’. It was a luxurious hotel. She had left her hair open and it was falling on her face and she was tucking them behind her ear. She walked to the reception. She had an air of confidence around her.
With a cute smile on her face, she asked the receptionist: “Excuse me mam??? “
The lady at reception: “Yes”
Radhika : May I know the room number of Mr. Neil Malhotra ????
The lady: Please wait for a second Mam.
Radhika was lost in her dream of becoming a well known journalist when the lady replied “ Room number 800. “
Thanking her Radhika took the lift to room number 800. All the while she was unaware of the scrutinizing glare of a man in his late twenties who had twitched his head to look her in midst of a call when he heard her say “Mr. Neil Malhotra.
With a racing heart she knocked on the door.” Come in “, she heard a grumpy voice. “ Hmm he seems to be tired of having reporters around him. So my interview should be something special. Otherwise he will throw me out. “She made a mental note. After a silent prayer to God she entered the room to come face to face with Mr. Neil Malhotra.
Pulling her out of the flash back, she heard her mother’s voice asking her to come to the living room with the tea and a smile on her face as the boy’s family had come at last.
This is it. Please tell me how it is. Actually I got this idea while I was reading a magazine. If a girl spends a quality time with a boy, the society misunderstands her. They assume something has happened. They don’t even bother to inquire the truth. They just spread rumors about that girl. This is what happened to Radhika. Please tell me if I should continue or not. Sorry if I bored you all.
