When I met you, my world changed – A Shivika ff by Tanz (Part 10)

Hello everyone, this is Tanz back with part-10 of my ff . Thank you for all the support.Let’s get started….

Recap:Annika spits coffee on Shivaay and Shivaay goes to change his shirt.

Shivaay comes back to the place where he had left Annika standing.While Annika was lost in her thoughts he brings a cheque in front of her.Annika is confused and asks him,
Annika:”Billuji What’s this?”
Shivaay(as coolly as possible):”Can’t you see Annika it’s a cheque.”
Annika:”I can see that Billuji but why are you giving this to me?”
Shivaay:”Will I give your salary to someone else?”
Annika:”But salary is given at the end of the month…”
Shivaay:”I know but I’m giving you your salary in advance.Do you have any problem with that?”

Moving her head in negative,Annika takes the cheque from his hand. She reads the amount written and she gets surprised. It was six months’ salary.
Annika:”Billuji I think you have done some mistake in writing the amount. It’s six….”
Shivaay(while picking up the file from the table):”I have not done any mistake Annika . I am giving you six months’ salary in advance on the condition that you have to work here in OM for six months and you cannot resign even if you want to till that six months’time is over . If you can agree to my condition, sign on these papers . (After a little break)If not, you can leave . I’ll give you whatever amount you will charge for yesterday’s work.The decision is .”
After completing,Shivaay gave out a sigh of relief.His work was over . Now it totally depended on Annika’s decision. He had put it in front of Annika in such a way that she wouldn’t realise he was trying to help . He eagerly waited for her answer .He knew that if she disagreed , he would have to find another way to help her, a way which might not be pleasing to her,a way which might hurt her. Some questions was still bothering him,Why was he bent on helping her?Who was she to him?Why HER problems affected him so much ?
So many questions and for the first time in his life he couldn’t answer them .
On the other side, Annika was in a delimma​.If she accepts the condition, she will get what she had wanted,money for Saahil’s operation but at the same time,she would have to work there​ for six months. But that was not a big deal.Working in a place so filled with love and affection was the best place to work. The only reason why she had to reconsider this thought was Shivaay . His presence made her uneasy.Not that she wasn’t comfortable with him, this was not the reason, she knew it for sure . His presence gave her a sense of being protected.Not knowing the reason for her uneasiness made her reconsider.But her uneasiness was not above Saahil.
Annika:”Ok Billuji,I agree to your condition.”
Shivaay :”Ok Annika sign on this contract.You can read it if you want.”
Annika:”I trust you Billuji, I’ll sign it.(after signing)But why are doing this?”
Shivaay:”I don’t want to lose you.”
Annika:”I’m sorry. What did you just say?”
Shivaay (realising what he had said):”I mean to say that I don’t want to lose an event organiser like you .Who knows if I’ll be able to get another one like you .So why take a chance?”
Although Annika was not satisfied with his reason but she decided to give herself sometime to digest what had just happened, so she left from there without uttering another word, with the cheque in her hand.
That day she finished her work early and left from OM in the evening.She went to meet Saahil’s doctor and submitted the required money for the operation and completed all the formalities.Then she went to the Doctor’s cabin to talk to him.
Doctor:”Annika beta it’s very good that you have completed all the formalities today itself. Now we start with Saahil’s physio sessions to get him ready for the operation.”
Annika:”So when should I bring Saahil?”
Doctor:”We’ll start from tomorrow itself.We can’t afford to waste time.”
Annika:”Ok .Thanks a lot Doctor.”

After a 20 minutes​ ride on her Champa, Annika reached home . She told about this Good news to both Jaya and Saahil. For the first time in her life, Jaya hugged Annika, out of happiness . After a long time her son was going to walk without any support again. Her hatred for Annika was not above her motherly love for Saahil, which was a bit selfish love. BUT a mother is a mother. Unknown to her, Annika had made a place in her heart, which she didn’t acknowledge or better didn’t WANT to acknowledge. Annika’s goodness could not be ignored by anyone.The same was happening with her.
Everyone slept peacefully that day.The next day, first Annika went to OM and then in the afternoon, she went with Saahil to the Doctor and after that again came back to OM after dropping Saahil . This became a daily routine for her for the next 3 weeks. But she managed everything perfectly and this quality of hers made Shivaay admire her . Shivaay kept a record of Saahil’s treatment as he wanted to ensure that everything was going well . Saahil’s operation date was approaching fast . Sometimes Shivaay would find Annika sitting near the pool and staring at it blankly.He would know she was thinking about something because that place had become her favourite thinking spot. Then he would go and sit beside her and try to relieve her by talking about random things in order to distract her. YES they were friends now , very good friends. Each of them knew what the other one was thinking by just looking at their expression. So good was their understanding of each other and they gave it the name of Friendship , least realising it was something much more than that .

So, it’s the end of this part . I know this one was more of a narrative type, I just felt like writing this way.The next part would be after a leap of 3 weeks. Thanks a lot for reading it and waiting for it for so many days.
