“…So we met like this…” (part-11)

Soon Dhruv arrived to disturb me and Bihaan. We proceeded to his room. I was so much involved in the project cause I wanted to proof Prof. Kumar that a stammering girl can achieve what she’s challenged to. Soon the sky turned darker. I need to rush home now. Today I even don’t have my scooty with me. “Don’t worry driver will drop you” Dhruv offered and I threw an agreeable smile. “Bihaan… Bihaan..” he left the room calling him. I was confused.

After keeping my bag on the front seat of the car. I bid a bye to pandey family they smiled while I proceeded to sit in. “Madam aren’t you comfortable on bike?” Bihaan taunted and I looked at him, after checking the pandey nivas gate. No one is here to see us that’s why his behavior changed. “Come we’ll go with the bike.” he ordered. I glared him with a confusion. “What madam? Do you want the royal car for you??” he yelled. Why’s he behaving this much rude to me!! I placed myself on the backseat of his bike.

“So you’re afraid of high speed” he giggled. Oh no it means he had seen my eyes closed cause of nervousness and my fist gripping his shoulder more and more. I opened my eyes to pretend myself fine. But soon his bike was again on high speed and ended closing my eyes to avoid my fear. Although he was giggling on my situation but after slowing down the speed he passed a smile looking at me into the mirror. I was embarrassed but thankful at the moment.

We passed through a ice-cream stall and my eyes twinkled. But I kept quiet. “Do you want to have?” he stopped the bike and offering me. Does he really understands me this much!! I shrugged nodding a ‘no’. When he lifted his eyebrows confirming me “Are you sure?” he asked. No I want… But I have to control myself, after all he was so rude to me. He can’t so easily make me smile like he used to. I was trying to be rigid but the sight of ice-cream was screaming enough to attract me. I guess he noticed my desperate heart for ice-cream so started teasing me. “Fine then I’m going to have one” he said gesturing me to turn down of the seat. I too followed him yet didn’t uttered anything… Although he was trying his best.

“Yummy…” he teased closing his eyes and inhaling a cosy breath. I turned my back towards him pretending that I’m not looking at him. “Yummy…” he turned louder in my ears. I turned to him abruptly to groan when my head hit his chin. “Ouch…” we both moaned rubbing our injured parts to release the pain. “Hit once again otherwise something bad will happen” I said and found him laughing hard. “Such a stupid myth!!” he uttered controlling his laugh. I noticed the fresh and unnoticeable wound near his lips…and as always… I kept quiet. “Fine… When something will happen you will remember my words” I warned. “I always remember you whenever something happens with me” his tongue slipped and he shrugged himself changing the statement to tease me. I acted as I didn’t noticed his uttering. “I don’t want it did you understand” I groaned frustrated. “Fine… I’m not even offering you” he teased. I turned my face again opposite to him. “The choco chips…. Oh my God… So tasty they are” he was again louder in my ears. “Have one please” my heart insisted. “huh..no not at all” my mind warned. But my eyes again peeped on the yummy ice-cream. “Be faster” I pretended to be angry. “Even I want to… But this yummy ice-cream isn’t letting me to be faster” his words were getting more cosy.

“Uff…. The hotness increased in the city” I heard some men passing comments looking at me. “We will give you ice-cream… come here baby” they giggled again. Bihaan glared at them. He passed the ice-cream to me and moved a step towards them. I know he will teach them a good lesson. But how can I be so selfish after seeing him so weak today. He proceeded for the next step but I stopped him holding his hand. I can’t see him in pain cause of me. He looked me angrily and confusingly. I nodded him ‘no’. “Romeo is getting angry!!” one of the men taunted and everyone laughed… I again stopped Bihaan holding his arms more tightly.

“Listen…” Bihaan yelled pointing at them. His gnashing was easily visible. I nodded a ‘no’ again when he threw his fist down helplessly but angrily. “You can’t do anything… This stammering girl is right… Don’t dare to stand among us… And let this beautiful girl come to us…Otherwise” one of them warned coming closer to Bihaan. He hid me behind him. “How dare you to call her that?” he groaned. “She’s so beautiful but her problem is stammering right?” the man asked scanning my body. I was uncomfortable when Bihaan hid me more thankfully. “Come baby you will be happy with us” the man said trying to come close to me. Bihaan, who was standing in between, placed his hand on the man’s chest to stop him. The man winked at me.

Now Bihaan was uncontrollable. He slapped the man hard which dropped some blood on the man’s cheek and ear. “Don’t even dare to think anything about her” he groaned hissing and moving much closer to the man. “You didn’t did right” the man gnashed holding his bleeding cheek. His words gave me goosebumps. Bihaan’s burning eyes were easily visible. He slipped his strong hands into my trembling ones. We both left towards the bike meanwhile Bihaan gave them a “Better stay away” look. I looked at him and rolled my hands around his arm to release my fear.

The ice-cream is melted somehow but it was still in my hands. “Gajab…why didn’t you let me teach them a lesson” he fumed. The man’s voice was echoing in me. “You didn’t did right” giving me goosebumps. He noticed. “Chuk Chuk gadi…. Can’t you see the ice-cream is melting.” he giggled, ofcourse trying to make me laugh. I placed my head in his chest and my hands around his back, gripping his jacket more and more. “The fear I felt for a moment… You’ll never understand Bihaan” I let my tears out on his chest. He lifted my head with his consoling hands. I can find some tears in his eyes too. But his smile encouraged me. “Be strong Chuk Chuk gadi” said he. I again placed my head in his chest. “Bihaan…” I cried. I don’t know why I’m feeling a sensation of something worst. Although I didn’t uttered about my insecurity to him. But my heart was restless. “Chuk Chuk gadi… Relax… See everything is fine. Let’s leave” he said patting my shoulder and caressing my hair. “When others say me a stammering girl you hit them. And what about your self?” I taunted forming a pout pretending to be upset. I broke the hug. “Only I have a right to say you Chuk Chuk gadi” I thought he will giggle but he was silent. “Okay I’ll not say you Chuk Chuk gadi if it hurts” he was sounding serious and at the very moment I found myself bursting out seeing his dumbness. He glared me pretending to be angry but soon formed a smile and then a laugh. I put some melted ice-cream on his cheeks and laughed hard. He made a playfully revenge face and started to chase me while I was running and laughing hard.

These precious moments and your smile gives me an unknown strength to find about you more. I wish we could always be like this…. Happy and together. My cheeks were in pain cause of my non stop laugh and giggle. He’s laughing too. This is you Bihaan… A real Bihaan, you can laugh without any issues, you can be happy without any issues. Like you make everyone smile… I will to make you too.

“Bihaan… See I’m here…” I waved and ran far more, although I can see him  laughing and running to find me. “Thapki…” he shouted. I was giggling silently .

I was laughing when someone grabbed my head from the backside covering my face with some piece of cloth. I moaned and started waving my hands hard in air. I was puffing and struggling to breath. I was snatching the hard hands on my face to inhale some amount of air. I was shouting, screaming hard widening my eyes more and more. I was doing everything without understanding what’s happening. I felt some dizziness but kept struggling. Soon my gaze fell on Bihaan running towards me calling my name. I applied my all force to touch him once, throwing my hands towards him. “Bihaan look at me once” my heart pleaded. Bihaan looked at me, yes he did. There’s something like heart to heart conversation. I believe. “Now see what we can do with you baby.” I heard many violent voices yelling and laughing near my ears. I was afraid but I knew Bihaan will never let happen anything to me. I was continuously gazing him trying hard to stay awake, with my dizzy eyes, with a trust. “Leave her you blo*dy goons” he yelled running near me. But he stopped, he stopped at a moment holding his head. “Bihhaaaaannnnn” I cried loosening the tight grip on my face. He fell on his knees, holding his head and semi-conscious eyes struggling to stay awake like me. I saw a man behind him had hit his head by a stick. I cried while he was struggling to stand. He’s still trying his best to reach me, to help me. “Thapkkkiiiii” he shouted trying to stand when again a “thud” sound echoed the darkness of the road. Now his eyes widened and I saw some blood droplets on his head and on the stick too. He held his head much tightly, closing his eyes and moaned to release the pain. My tears wetted the cloth on my face. “Bihhaaaaannnnn” I cried with my all force. I felt the hard force throwing me into some vehicle. I found myself on the backseat sitting between two men. I pleaded them to let me go. I joined my hands. I gave them sake. I was doing everything I could in my semi-conscious state. “Relax baby… We are here only for you” one of them slapped me and I heard the violent laughs again. My eyes were inhaling darkness slowly. The ugly faces were laughing at their so called victory. “Thap…Thapkkkiiiii….” someone held my hands. So pure touch it was I saw Bihaan holding the vehicle’s gate with his one bleeding hand, while his other hand was holding mine. His head was bleeding and he wasn’t able to even open his eyes properly. But he came. He came to save me. “Thapki come…” he asked. The laughs of the men were changed into irk. One of them hit Bihaan with the hockey stick on his bleeding forehead. “Noooo….” I cried. He’s yet holding my hands with his blooded ones. “Thapki come… I’ll never let anything happen to you” he uttered smilingly in his semi-conscious state. “I know Bihaan… You became a chuk chuk gadi now” I giggled recalling our beautiful moments, releasing the tears out. The irked man hit his hand through the hockey stick. But his grip was enough to make me feel safe. The smile on his face was yet encouraging me to get up. But I can’t. One of them kicked him on his chest. The grip of our hand loosened a bit. And the next hit on his bleeding head separated us away. “Bihaaannn Noooo….” I cried. One of them jumped out of the vehicle to beat Bihaan using there hockey stick and other weapons, they didn’t let even my Bihaan stand. “No please… Leave him” I cried pleading one of them. Bihaan fell down on his chest like a lifeless body. “Bihhhhhaaaaaaannnnn” I cried to the core. “Leave him he might be dead” one of them ordered and the vehicle started. I released the tears helplessly kissing my hand to feel his touch. The darkness absorbed me.
