Scene 1:
Location: Maasa’s residence
Sattu comes inside and is reprimanded by maasa and granny. but he remains defiant. pari is taunted by sattu to see whats with much deliberation and hesitation, pari finally lifts the veils of the palenquin and is shocked to see that there is noone inside, but a scroll of paper. she is boggled, and picks it up, and starts reading. she is shocked and collapses on the floor. granny and maasa are tensed to see this, they continuously ask sattu whats wrong with him, that he is putting pari through such a torturous life. they vehemently ask him whats in the paper. when he doesnt respond, they ask pari to get to know that they are divorce papers. all are shocked and maasa is aghast and apalled. then she turns to sattu to ask whats going through his mind,

and that its never been the ritual in their house, to break marriages and spoil relations. but sattu remainds adamant, and stoically comments back, taunting her and pari. finally, she is reduced to begging to him, not to do this, as he hasnt been able to understand the importance of pari, and then begins to enumerate all the efforts and sacrifices that pari made to keep the family together. pari is moved, and tells maasa not to apologise and fold hands in front of her son for her, since she wouldnt be able to forgive himself. maasa points out how she misunderstood her and has finally understood that she has done more than any daughter would ever do, and that she is the daughter she never had and finally got. pari gets overwhelmed with emotions, and then says that she always used to seach for a mother in her life and finally fulfilled the long lost dream of finally having had a mother for herself. they both hug each other, tears streaming down their cheeks, at their long cherished union. sattu watches tensedly. the bahus fume. Meanwhile, she then turns to her son, sattu and tells that he shall never get more lucky than this, to get a better girl than pari. he says that he already found one, and points out to a direction. all turn and are shocked to find roop standing there. he declares and proposes to her in front of everyone, that he isnt doing anything illegal, and that he and his wife have parted ways, and once the court grants their divorce, he wishes to spend lfie with her. Pari is distraught.

Sattu gets berserk, and asks the media, that he hasnt done anything criminal, and hence they wont get any media bytes here. the police, media and the activists resignedly leave. then he asks pari to sign the paper, giving her a pen, to do so. she stands shell shocked. maasa and granny are apalled. he gets frustrated and says that he shal don roop’s forehead with vermillion rightaway. they all are gaped. he rushes inside, while pari rushes after her. he searches around the drawers for vermillion, but looking around, he doesnt pick the bottle, and turns to find pari standing there. he asks her where is it, so that he can make roop his wife. she eyes him frustrated that its her vermillion, and she wont have anyone else sharing it with her. he rushes out of the room, swearing that he shall make roop his wife, by one way or the other. after he leaves, pari finds the bottle kept on the dressing table, and wonders why sattu didnt take it, when it was clearly lying there, and is boggled, why he pretended not to see it. the screen freezes on her face.

Precap: Pari comes out and presents the bottle of vermillion to him, saying that he was searching for it, but didnt find it. she says that he wanted her to divorce him, then so be it, and agrees to divorce him, saying that he is free to do whatever he wishes. she urges him to go ahead and marry roop. he stands stunned.
