The Episode starts with Durga running to give the kite to Brij. She runs and collides with Yashpal on the way. The maths book falls down. She picks the kite and the book. He asks what are you doing, you promised you will study and not fly kites. She says I just came out. He says it does not matter, I value time, one who does not value time, time does not value person, I have earned 2100rs by many nights hardwork, this money will easily be spent today, this burn marks is stamp that I m illiterate, educated man makes the uneducated man work like this, I don’t want your hands to burn, remember paper flies by fate, but kite flies by talent, talent always supports even if fate does not, talent comes by studying, not flying kites. He tears the kite and throws it. Durga cries. He goes home. She comes running after him. He washes face. He says Dulaari would be coming, you have no work there I don’t want to see your face now. She gets sad.
Pandit checks the kundlis. Dulaari asks for pizza and samosas. Brij says have paneer samosas, pizza we will get next time. Baby tells Amrita that Rishi looks good, but Dulaari is like spicy chilli. Amrita says its fine, I will lessen her mirchi with my love. Baby asks where is Durga.
Durga burns her kites and cries. She recalls the memories with her kites. She says I dreamt to fly kite along Yashpal, but now this will never happen, I can see my dreams, my kites burning, but I can’t see tears in dad’s eyes, I m sorry, I m good girl, no I m a good girl, I will study very harder.
Pandit says great, guy and girl’s kundli are matching, the shubh mahurat is 12th of next month. Brij says great. Baby says so soon. Dulaari says I don’t have any objection. Pandit says think well, another shibh mahurat is not till 1.5 years. Dulaari asks Yashpal does he have problem with this date. Yashpal says yes. Sheela says how to arrange money in one month. Yashpal says Durga has exam around that date, so …..
The fire catches Shilpa’s kurti. Shilpa comes there and scolds Durga. Durga scolds her back angrily. Dulaari says Durga can give exam later. Yashpal asks how later, there is not problem about marriage, but Durga’s hardwork will go waste. Sheela asks for whom are you saying. Yashpal says you don’t know education, don’t say anything.
Bantu says Durga burnt all kites, is Durga mad, she could have given me all the kites. Bantu asks Shilpa to show her her kurti. He snatches and it gets torn. He scolds Durga. Durga pushes him back and says I will beat you two. Dulaari says Rishi will get many proposals, we will say if we can wait or not. Birj says no, we are also in hurry. Dadi says yes. Subhadra comes and hugs them. Sheela tells Subhadra about the marriage date fixed next month, but Yashpal is thinking. Subhadra asks him to agree soon, as such proposal won’t come easily. Shilpa and Bantu come and complain about Durga. Yashpal asks Durga what’s this new thing.
Durga’s friends wait for her. They see the smoke on her terrace and run to see. They see Durga in trouble. Shilpa says Durga got mad, she was igniting fire on terrace. Annapurna asks Durga what was she doing. Bantu says she was burning kites. Yashpal sees Durga. He calms down. Subhadra says sorry, but its Yashpal’s mistake also, I told you to send her with me to Bhiwani, you did not listen. Dadi says you were postponing Amrita’s marriage for her exam. Dulaari says if you delay marriage, you may forget marriage talks. Yashpal says no, don’t say this, if everyone want this, we will fix marriage next month. They all smile.
Shilpa asks who will fix my kurti, Durga has burnt this. Brij says stop it now, its just Kurti, your cupboard is full. Rishi asks Shilpa not to cry, you can get new kurti. He pays money to Shilpa. Yashpal says no. Rishi says why, even I have a right, I m first son and then son in law, I have no sister, so let me give money to Shilpa. He asks her to get new kurti. She thanks him. Amrita smiles seeing Rishi.
Rishi says Durga is young, mistakes happen, don’t get annoyed with her. Yashpal says this should not happen again Durga, I don’t want to hear any excuse, if you fail this time, be ready to go Bhiwani with your Bua, your aim should be one, studies, you will be away from Amrita’s marriage preparations. Sheela says I know no one passes without studying. Durga’s friends look on and talk. A boy says being together is big support. They go downstairs and hide from everyone. Durga recalls Yashpal’s words and cries.

Durga’s friends hide in storeroom. Amrita and Rishi steal a glance and smile. Durga says maths devil will eat me. She gets sad and runs. Her friends as her to stop, and see a train coming, while she crosses the track.

I feel sorry for Durga. This reminds me of the movie Pehli Nazaar mein where the kid is dyslexic but his teachers and parent’s weren’t aware of it, till he was forced to move to Boarding school, where the good teacher comes and explains to his parent’s he has dyslexic. This is what Durga has, reason why she sees kites and mixed numbers, why she’s slow in writing equations down. These are signs that she has dyslexia. I hope they find out soon, I hate her teachers and her dad, like sure he works hard, but least give her a chance to explain, like she wasn’t playing kites. Why didn’t her uncle say anything, it was because of him she did all that. I don’t trust the in laws, like the guy is nice but his mum will treat the girl like a slave, no breaks. Than when the son comes act all sweet like I tell her to rest but she don’t listen, works hard all day. Watch what happens.

Just because durga runs behind kites and not good at maths… it doesn’t mean she has dyslexia…. No offense…. Just gave my point
