Kanoji goes to seth Gangaram seeking job. Gangaram asks if he can do labor work. Kanoji agrees. Gangaram asks him to lift grocery bags from cart and stack them aside. Kanoji agrees. He sees driver who taunted him that his wife is very beautiful and gets angry, but ignore. Driver tells his friend that this ugly man’s wife is very beautiful, god does so much injustice. Friend says seeing his ugly face, not even an ugly girl will marry him. Kanoji angrily tries to trash driver. Gangaram stops him and says he started fighting as soon as he joined job and kicks him out of job. Kanoji walks away sadly.

At night, Susheela waits for Kanoji outside house when he doesn’t return yet. A kid seeing her without pallu praises her that she looks as beautiful as moon. Susheela says even he

seems a nice kid. Kid says even his mother says same and walks away. Kanoji returns and fumes hearing that. Susheela draws pallu seeing him. Kanoji angrily drags her in and shouts if she is so eager to show her face, then she should go out and dance in front of everyone. Susheela says she didn’t do anything wrong. Kanoji says he will not let her stay in his house and drags her towards door when his wife stops him and says he cannot throw away family member and seeing his injury asks how did he incur it. Kanoji says this injury is far less than people’s taunts. Mother blames Susheela and says she made a mistake by marrying her off to her son in childhood and didn’t know she would grow up to be problematic for her son. Susheela apologizes and draws back her pallu promising she will never remove her pallu. Mother consoles Kanoji and takes him to serve food and says let Susheela be hungry tonight and realize her mistake.

A man hiding outside Dwarkamayi watches Sai. Tatya brings food for Sai saying aayi sent it for him. Sai says Baizmaa never forgets to send him food and asks to give whole food to cow and take out 1 rice grain for him. Tatya asks if his stomach will fill with 1 grain. Sai says Tatya is a farmer and knows power of 1 rice grain and gives him moral gyaan. On the other side, Kanoji while having food feels sad for Susheela seeing her staring at food. His mother tells Susheela that she doesn’t like punishing her, but it is necessary to make her realize her mistake. At night, Susheela unable to bear hunger goes to kitchen and picks water when her MIL wakes up and yells that she will have to go fetch water in cold, so Susheela shouldn’t drink water. Susheela walks out crying and holding god’s idol prays that she cannot tolerate hunger and god should help her.
