Kulkarni asks Rukmini if Sai said those words to her. Rukmini says it is true. Kulkarni gets angry on her. Keshav and other kids come to school. Jhipri comes to school and says she also wants to study. Anta and Banta tell Madhav about Jhipri and her mum and says nobody talks to them. Madhav asks her to bring slate. Anta and Banta looks shocked. Tatya comes back from school. Aayi asks him not to go to school. Bai comes and asks him to go and study so that he can show right way to people. Bai Sa tells that one needs to be educated etc. Jhipri goes to Sai and asks him if he can make slate. Sai asks her to try to get it, if she couldn’t get then he will make. Madhav hears them.
Jhipri comes to her mum. Her mum asks her to sit and make cow dung cakes (upla) and says she has to deliver in Bai Sa’s
Sai is in the garden. Few men brings a man to him and says he is bitten by an insect and asks if something will happen to him. Sai checks him, takes sand and adds water and puts on man’s neck. Madhav sees them. Villager asks sand. Sai says it is needed for now. He then picks medical plant leaves and asks the man to apply tulsi leaves ointment. Villager asks what is this treatment. Sai says we have made our life complicated and have forgotten that this land is our birth place. Madhav is surprised.
Later in the night, Bhama and Madhav talk about Sai. Madhav says he is mysterious man. People used to go to Kulkarni for treatment always, why they come to Sai now. Bhama says she will sleep now. Madhav hears flute sound and come out of house. He sees Sai praying and the leaves freezes in air. He sees divine light behind Sai and folds his hands.
In the morning, Anta tells Banta that Kulkarni always wait for Madhav early morning daily. Banta says he brought some important news. Chivu asks Madhav to say what he saw and asks if he saw him doing magic. Kulkarni says Madhav will not believe on such things. Madhav thinks if I tell him what I have seen then he will think me mad. Kulkarni asks him to sit and say. Madhav tells him that he saw a man coming to Sai’s place with his wife. Chivu says he must be kashiram. Kulkarni says yes. Banta thinks if this is a news. Kulkarni asks him to keep him informed. Once Madhav goes, Chivu says one thing is bothering me. Kulkarni says he will not talk to her sasural. Chivu says I am thinking about you and asks why you are waiting to kick Sai out of shirdi. Kulkarni says he thought this many times, but his patience is saying that fakeer has won everything trust. He says people will go against me if I do this, and will think that I am afraid of Sai. Kulkarni says he has to take Sai out of people’s heart. Chivu smiles.
Jhipri makes dung cakes early morning. Her mum says you have done two days work. Jhipri asks her to permit her to go to school and promises to do the work. She says I will not ask for you anything. Her mum gets touched with her words. Jhipri asks shall I go? Her mum nods. Jhipri takes Uplas for Bai Sa. She tells Bai Sa that she brought 6 uplas and asks her to give money for 3. Bai Sa says ok. Tatya asks did you get slate. Jhipri looks sad. Bai Sa gives money to Jhipri and also Tatya’s old slate. Jhipri gets happy and thanks her.
She runs towards School informing Sai that she is going to school. She comes to school and asks Madhav can I come inside. Madhav smiles. Anta and Banta come there and say you can’t study here. Jhipri says I have slate now. Anta breaks the slate. Jhipri cries. Madhav asks them to stop and asks what is this tamasha. Anta says if sarkaar comes to know this then what will happen, do you know. Madhav says I didn’t do anything wrong. Banta says you are letting her come inside and says this is adharm. Jhipri asks can I come inside and says I want to study. Madhav sits silently. Anta and Banta smiles. Jhipri cries as they ask her to leave. She comes to Sai and cries. Sai sees Anta and Banta and asks who hurt her heart. Jhipri says those people. Sai smiles.
