Sudha’s father tells his brother that he has only none daughter. What’s the point if I cannot fulfil her wishes? Uma reasons that she has turned 15. It is her marriageable age now. He is hesitant but his brother insists that this is the age when people start seeing alliances. The better a girl like her gets married, the better. I have received an alliance from a nearby village. I will fix it soon. The sooner her wedding is fixed, the sooner she will give up on dancing! Sudha looks on. Her father tells his brother that he will convince her. His brother knows it is impossible and tells him. You could have done this before but you dint. He leaves to send a letter to the groom’s family. Sudha cries silently.

Sudha is crying in her room. Her father comforts her. Please forgive this unlucky father who couldn’t say anything in your favour. I haven’t said a word in front of Dada till date. I don’t even earn enough to voice my opinion. I cannot even object to anything. I know that my silence has made me your culprit. Forgive your father if you can. She tells him not to say this and hugs him. You are the best father! I am the one who is bad. You have to hear so many things because of me. I am the reason why this house remains unsettled. I cannot give up on dance even if I try. It is my life. It gives me happiness. I felt as if a part of my body has been cut when the ghungroos were thrown away today. He tells her that he understands but she disagrees. Neither you nor anyone else understands it. I have tried to give up on dance many times for your sake but I lose every time! I fail to stop myself whenever I hear any kind of music. I even fight with God sometimes for giving me an art that has only caused unrest in this house. How to separate it from myself? What if I am unable to stop myself even after marriage? What will happen then? I am very scared. He hugs her. They both cry.
Madan watches Sai fill a glass with water. He looks up at the sky sadly. This is just the beginning of your test. The journey is long. Madan asks Him what He is doing. Sai asks him if the water is clean. Madan says yes. Sai asks him again and Madan says yes again. Sai asks him to bring a bowl. Madan gives it to Him. Sai pours water in the bowl after covering it with a piece of cloth. Sai tells Madan that there were so many particles of dirt in the water that he thought was clean. You thought you came alone but you have come with ill intentions (anger, greed, etc.). Madan disagrees outright. Sai smiles. You dint come here to me to find a Guru but these intentions are what brought you here. They are with you since the times you decided to make me your Guru. They are with you the moment you started from your home. Do you remember how your neighbour had told you that he is looking for clothes to distribute to the poor when you were about to leave the house? You dint give even one good cloth even when you had many in abundance. You still hold them dear. The driver who dropped you here was asking for a little more money than the fare. He wanted it for the cart, not for himself. His cart was affected as the way from your home to here is not good. You ended up listing his faults. You even refused to pay the fare saying that he brought you here late. You started speaking of your money the moment you came here. You wanted a Guru to show off and got angry instead of understanding my point. How will my teachings help you even if I accept you as my devotee right now? Go to Ram ji if you want to get over all these feelings. He will give you Guru and teachings at the right time. Madan breaks down. I found my Guru and got His teachings too. I feel blessed! Sai blesses him.
Next morning, Sudha comes to the well to get water. A lady complements her on her son whereas the other one tells her to stop dancing now. Sudha feels bad. My legs have become my enemy. Everyone is complaining about them now. Sai asks them to come with Him as someone needs their help. Sudha and other ladies follow Sai. They stop near a tree. A lady asks Sai who needs their help. Sai points at the snail. It is not able to carry the burden of the conch on its back. Let’s remove it. They stop Sai from doing it. It is an integral part of snail. It will die without it. Sai asks them why they cannot understand what meaning dance holds in Sudha’s life then. Art is a gift of God. Disrespecting it is like disrespecting God. The ladies apologize to Sudha and leave. Sai asks Sudha why she is thinking of pushing her art away from her. Sudha says it only brings insults for my father. I am bound to feel bad. Sai tells her not to change herself. The situation will change. Dance is an integral part of your life. Don’t give up on it. It will become your medicine in every step of life. She is confused by His words. Ragini tells her that there is a group of artists coming at night. Will you come with us? Sudha denies. Kaka wont let me go at night. Ragini suggests going now to see rehearsal. Sudha is sure Kaka wont agree. Ragini tells her to ask her Baba. Sudha agrees to try. She leaves sadly.
Sudha’s father is reluctant to let Sudha go. What if Dada finds out? It is time for lunch. She assures him that she will be back soon. Kaka told me not to dance. I can see it. I will be back before Kaka and Kaki return. Please let me go. They will get me married anytime soon though. I don’t know whether I will get this chance again or not. Just give me one last chance. He agrees. She thanks him and leaves. Her father looks tensed.
Precap: Sudha performs at the dance rehearsal. Everyone looks on. Sai is also watching her from nearby. She hits an idol while dancing.
