A man enters Shirdi. A few kids plays gilli danda and hit gilli towards him. He holds it. Kids praise his skills and and request to return gilli. He throw it far away and scolds kids. He walks further in and seeing Pari and her friends playing gets angry that this village has only troubling making kids. He then thinks he forgot route and seeing Govinda fumes again that this village has only kids. He walks to Govinda and asks where is Kulkarni wada. Govinda asks why he wants to know. Man asks not to argue. Govinda says Kulkarni wada’s name is changed to Govind wada now and gives him wrong direction. Once man leaves, he gets nervous thinking Sai must have found out about his mistake. Keshav walks in with Sai and scolds Govinda why is he sitting here, there are all worried for him. Govinda says his mother does not love him and she even punished him yesterday without his mistake. Sai says sometimes one scolds someone else in tension, his mother did same and it does not mean his mother does not love him, she loves him a lot and is relaxed as Rukmini takes care of him well; his whole family loves him a lot, be with his mother, Keshav, Rukmini, or Kulkarni. Govinda calms down, and Keshav takes him home.
Man continues wandering and asks passerbys where is Govind wada. Everyone say they don’t know where is it. Tired he sees Dwarkamayi and walks in to drink water, thinks if it is right to drink someone’s water without permission. Sai walks in and says one does not need permission to take water, thirst and hunger is nature’s gift and one should not hesitate. Man introduces himself as Srikanth, British government’s appointed new teacher in Shirdi, and asks what is his name. Sai says people call him Sai and it is good Shirdi will have one more educated person. Srikanth says theoretical knowledge does not help and only practical knowledge helps in life. He offers money to Sai. Sai says when nature does not take money from him for its water and other resources, how can he take money from him. Srikanth says he does not agree but will respect his thinking. Sai says direction of Kulkarni wada. Srikanth thinks maybe he informed Sai during discussion. Sai says it is still Kulkarni wada and not Govind wada. Srikanth fumes that a boy/Govinda misguided and fooled him. Sai says soon he will make many friends and dear ones. Srikanth says he does not like any relationships or emotions and just will work for 5 hours and get his salary each month, it is up to students if they grasp his teaching or not. Sai smiles.
Srikanth reaches Kulkarni’s house. Kulkarni asks why did he come so late. Srikanth says he lost his way. Kulkarni suggests him to not teach politics to children and he will not interfere in his work. Sai says he is a government employee and his duty is to teach children and get his salary, does not care if students understand it or not. Kulkarni thinks Srikanth is not like Madhav who taught more than book knowledge to children. Keshav brings Govinda home. Srikanth gets angry seeing him and says this is the boy who misguided him and because of him he got late, he even told Kulkarni wada’s name is Govinda wada now. Keshav apologizes him on his younger brother’s behalf who is mischievous but good at heart. Kulkarni says Srikanth he may leave now. Srikanth gives him Golkuldas’ letter and says it is written all students should attend school compulsorily. Kulkarni thinks what is the need to educate all children. Srikanth asks if Govinda also attend school. Kulkarni says he will.
Precap: A man tells Sai that he is very weak and cannot work, so if he can live in Dwarkamayi and help Sai in begging. Sai says his hands are paining, so if he can cut wood for him.
