Uma returns home from Dwarkamayi. Balchandra requests her to have food. Uma says she has taken oath not to eat until her son returns, she will fast. Balchandra says she will go weak like this. Uma says she doesn’t care and will do whatever it take to bring her son back home. Balchandra gets worried for her.
Next day, Dattu works in Dwarkamayi and seeing bright sun goes to protect dry flower plant. Sai goes for begging. Weak Uma offers him puranpoli and says it is for him and Dattu, he should not inform Dattu that she gave it. Sai asks how is Balchandra. Uma says he is fine and has gone to work alone, she is worried about Hari as he is feeling depressed without his brother. Sai suggests her to have patience.
Sai returns to Dwarkamayi. Dattu waters dry flower plant and builds a shadow around it. Sai says he works on plant loyally, then what happens to his loyalty with other chores. Dattu smiles. Sai says he is going to Lendibagh and leaves. Dattu continues working on plant and not seeing water goes to get it from water well. Uma walks in wearing blanket and does remaining chores with great difficulty. Dattu fetches water from water well and returns, he sees blanket wearing person and thinks he/she is the same person whohelps him often, then identifies Uma noticing her bangles and walks towards her when he clashes with a man who yells at her. Uma leaves by then. Dattu thinks he must have imagined aayi, why would she come here. Uma cries hiding.
Next day, Latha mausi/aunty feels guilty seeing Uma’s condition and apologing Uma says she will go and help Dattu. Uma doesn’t agree. Balchandra warns Uma to either have food or rest as he cannot see her deteriorating like this. Uma lies on bed. Balchandra leaves asking Latha to take care of Hari and Uma. Latha cries seeing Uma’s condition and cooks. Uma thinks she didnt’ disobey Latha till now, but has to for Dattu.
Keshav asks Hari to get wood from jungle as last week’s wood is finished. Dattu says he will water plant and then go, walks to plant and gets happy seeing it green with flowers. He happily informs Sai and asks if he will let him meet his biological parents now. Sai says yes and asks Keshav to pluck the plant from there as it doesn’t deserve to be here. Dattu resists. Sai says a bird sow the seed and plant grew up, Dattu didn’t plant it, so why he is getting so possessive about it. Dattu says he will not let it plucked at any cost. Sai says he is worried for just a mere plant, what about Uma who brought him up since infancy and loves him immensely.
Precap: Dattu not finding wood in jungle sees blanket wearing person/Uma and requests to give him wood. Uma collapses due to weakness. Dattu gets shocked seeinng his mother.
