Swara’s p.o.v continues

I lifted my head to see where i landed slowly more & more entered my vision until i had the ball in my sight. ..

My eyes adjusted to light & i focused on the position of the ball…i couldn’t speak … no way…
I stood looking around in shock. ..no…

“WE WONNNNNN” laksh shouted …i had lost… no….

Everyone ran over to laksh & lifted him in air celebrating his victory. Once his feet were back on to the ground he came over to me. I was still frozen in shock. ..i couldn’t believe it, we were so close to the line.

My eyes were glued to the floor but i could still feel laksh walk up to me & stand infront of me. I slowly lifted my head… not wanting to see laksh’s face while i felt this ashamed. Our eyes finally met & when i looked into his captivating hazel eyes i didn’t see cockiness nor did i see that he was bragging instead i saw reassurance.

He lifted his hands to my cheeks sending pleasurable sparks through my body & he looked deeper into my eyes. He leaned closer to my face until there was just a little space between us.

“So from now you are my girlfriend …hmm… seems to be interesting ” before i could respond he closed my lips to a hungry kiss. I responded immediately surprising myself. His mouth was so warm , the caress of his lips softer than i could have imagined.

*cough*

We broke apart breathing heavily & turned swiftly around, laksh’s arms around my waist keeping me close to his body. When we turned we saw everyone staring us having big smiles on their face.

“Do you guys want us to leave?” David said jokingly showing gates.

“Yes…if you wouldn’t mind ” laksh said laughing & rested his head on my shoulder but i pulled away.

“No guys u dnt have to go come on” i pushed away from laksh slapping him on the arm before rushing back into the house. We watched tv for sometime & i sat beside laksh & he is holding me so close to him . He was so comfortable, protective, s*xy & mine.

My boyfriend! Ahhhh! Maybe i didn’t loose…

Laksh dropped me at gayu’s house again still thinking it was mine. It pains me to keep lying to laksh, even more so now that we are getting closer but i had to…i was scared in case he would leave me because i am poor & now i am scared that he will leave because i am lying to him. Ughhh! Why wasn’t i honest from the start?

I waved good bye as laksh drove off & then i made the long walk to my house.

As i got closer to my house i noticed that kitchen light is on… my mom was home. I started to run as faster as i could to see her. I burst into the kitchen breathing heavily & smiling ready to hug my mom.

She didn’t reciprocate into hug & stand still on side of table. I noticed that she was crying.

“Mom what’s wrong? ” i hugged her & trying to comfort her. I am stronger than my mom & i am the one who will comfort her.

“Its nothing shona just these stupid bills” she patted my hand.

“But i thought that your two jobs covered the bills ”

“I… i was fired from one of my jobs” mom whispered.

“What? When? Why?” I stood & looking at her, her head swung down in shame not being able to support me. I felt sorry for her.

“About 2 weeks ago ” i got angry.

“TWO WEEKS ” that’s longer than I expected. No wonder there have been power cuts.

“I am so sorry shona…” tears escaped my mom’s eyes & i sat next to her to comfort her.

“Its ok mom i just wish you could told me earlier. I will look for a job in morning so that we have more money for the house you just focus on getting another job.” I hugged her & rubbed her arm. Wow actually i was the mother in this house.
