He kissed the beach sand and shouted “THANQ!!!!!” and that’s when he found someone tapping his shoulder.
He jerked and got up which made the person miss balance. Abhi held the person by waist and looked deeply, into eyes.
There she was, a Muslim girl, full covered in black. Her eyes were magical. He could see nothing else of her. Those round eyes were enough to eat him up.
“Ahem…ahemmm…” Nitya disturbed them.
“Hey, handsome. What are you doing here?” Nitya asked to which Abhi answered, “Just like that Nitya. What brought you both here?”
“Maya actually lost her ring here yesterday. We are just—
I know, I know. Simple white band, shining bright.”
“How do you know?” for the first time Abhi heard Maya’s voice…as sweet as a nightingale, he thought.
But coming to the present, “I don’t know, I just guessed. All rings are like that *nice samaalification* Leave it, just a ring naa?” Abhi purposefully teased.
“That’s MOM’S”
“That’s Platinum.”
Both the girls said at the same time. Abhi easily differentiated btw Pragya’s (according to him Maya) and Nitya’s thoughts.
“PLATINUM???????” Abhi gasped.
“Shut up. If you can, search it” Nitya sounded cold.
“It must be in Bajal Lal’s pawn shop by now” Abhi sighed.
“You stole the ring right?”
