“Ragini, where is my watch and where have you kept my handkerchief? I can’t find my laptop either, I had kept it on sofa only last night. Where do you kept my socks Ragini? Oh God Ragini please come up soon, I can’t find anything.” Shouted Laksh from their Room.

Ragini was in the kitchen preparing breakfast while AP was laughing at Ragini’s pissed off face.

“Maa, what is so funny ?”

“Nothing beta, just laughing because this is the everyday scene then why are you pissed off today?”

“Maa, Laksh forgot our big day today. It’s our 1st anniversary mom, How can he just forget it?”

“Ooh.. so he didn’t wish you till now”

Ragini just nodded her head in no with pouty lips and AP continued

“Don’t worry beta, you know very well na that he is very busy with his new company, his only dream. May be it slipped off from his head but I am damn sure he will give you the best gift tonight”

With this AP winked at Ragini. Ragini’s eyes instantly widened and she blushed a little. 

“Now stop blushing and go Laksh is calling you. I think he’ll go mad if he don’t find you there now”

Ragini just shook her head in disbelief. She washed her hands and walked towards her room.

Ragini’s POV

Everything has been changed in this one year. Me Laksh our family, everything. Laksh showered all his love on me now and then. He was my biggest support when I told him I wanted to become a singer. He never ever said no to me for anything.

And what should I say about his family. Oops! My family. Mom was always playful. She never acted as mother in law, while I have always seen her as one of my friends with whom I can share everything without any hesitation. She always teased me and made me blush now and then. Unlike other mother in laws she never forced me to bear a child this soon. She always said that I and Laksh should take our own time for becoming parents. Though she never tells me but I can see, I can see the longing in her eyes for a grand child. After all she is also a mother. She must have also dreamt of playing with her grand children.

Right now I am damn angry on Laksh. How can he just forget about our first anniversary. I didn’t argue with maa more. She might feel bad about it. Obviously Laksh has worked much for his new company, his only dream. But It’s our first anniversary. He was the one who was mad behind me not me. I huffed in anger.

As soon as I entered our room I heard him saying,

“Ragini, where is…”

“Oh just shut up” I said annoyed.

“Your handkerchief is in left drawer and you will find your watch there it self. Your socks are in right drawer. And by the way, laptop should be kept on study table not on sofa”

Just when he was about to say something I interrupted him “and yeah, don’t you irritate me more. I have work to do not like you

Laksh’s POV

“Your handkerchief is in left drawer and you will find your watch there it self. Your socks are in right drawer. And by the way, laptop should be kept on study table not on sofa” she huffed in anger.

Aww..my angry bird. She looks cute with those pouty lips. I always loose my control on seeing those. But I have to control myself now. I very well know the reason for her bad mood.

It’s our anniversary today and I didn’t wish her. She thinks I have forgotten it but how can I? I would never forget that day. The best day of my life. When she became all mine and I became hers. She is the only one for me.

I have planned a surprise for her today. I didn’t want to wish her before giving her surprise and also I like to tease her, annoy her.

Oh god, where is this Ragini now. I had called her through Priya to this hotel which I have booked for us.



Just when I when I was about to call Priya I saw Ragini’s car approaching. I swiftly ran inside the hotel and instructed the guards to open the door for her.

After few seconds Ragini entered dressed in beautiful Red saree. I am surely going to loose myself. she was looking around the place. Obviously admiring the hotel.
I took the mike and switched off the lights.

Ragini’s POV

Just when I was admiring the place suddenly the lights turned off. First of all I couldn’t find anyone in and secondly I was afraid of darkness. But all my fear went in a go as soon as a soothing voice was heard by my ears.

Slowly slowly the person came forward showing his face. I didn’t really wanted to know who was it because I knew it was Laksh.

He came in front of me as be finished singing and winked at me.

“So my dear wifey thought I forgot this big day. I can forget myself but not you Ragini. I just wanted to surprise you and I think it went good enough”

So this was all his plan. He didn’t wish me so that he can surprise me. How stupid of me to think that he can forget our anniversary.

I started hitting on his chest for troubling me. He caught my hands and pulled me closer. He kissed my forehead and turned me. He placed a beautiful diamond necklace on my neck after slowly removing my hair fr the back. He kissed me there which sent shiver down my spine  murmuring “Happy Anniversary Love”

I heard him chuckling and turned towards him with questioning look.

“Ragini, it’s our 1st anniversary. In short one year has passed for our marriage and still you shiver by my touch”

I blushed. Yes, his touch will always sends shivers down my spine like it’s the first time.

He picked me up and carried me towards the room I guess. He gently put me down on the bed. He was about to wear protection but I stopped him and said no.
His face showed a different happiness. He too wanted this, his eyes said it all. And we made love again. This time, with the hope of new beginnings.
