Later, Megha returns to Manoj’s house. Suspicious, he senses she’s been to the cremation ground. Megha admits she went to say a final goodbye. Enraged, Manoj punishes her—showing her burning coal and ordering her to walk over it. Without hesitation, Megha does it, chanting Arjun’s name like a mantra of survival. She tries to take the baby, but Manoj snatches the child away, declaring it as his and Alka’s. Megha, he says, is just the nanny.
Time passes. One day, Megha hears the baby crying. She pleads with Alka to let her hold the child, but Alka walks away. Arjun returns to her side. Megha, crushed, tells him that as punishment, she can’t see their baby for the next 12 hours. Arjun reminds her—this isn’t just a battle. It’s an eight-year war.
