Meet fame Ashi Singh and Maitree fame Namish Taneja talk about their plans to celebrate ‘Mahashivratri’
Mahashivratri is one of the most religious festivals in India. Devotees celebrate the wedding of Lord Shiva with Goddess Parvati on Mahashivratri by fasting for the whole day and visiting shiv temples. Actors Ashi Singh and Namish Taneja in a recent interview talked about the importance of Mahashivratri and their belief in Lord Shiva.
Ashi Singh, who is known for essaying the role of Meet Hooda in Meet shared, “I have always been a true believer of Lord Shiva. His blessings and positive energy have always been with me and have helped me through every phase of my life. Even with my busy hectic schedule this time, I will definitely visit a Lord Shiva temple to seek blessings on the occasion of Mahashivratri. Usually, everyone at my place keeps fast, and my mother prepares delicious things to eat. Every year I make sure to fast on this particular day no matter where I am, one time I remember I was in Mauritius and I had kept fast there as well.”
Namish Taneja, who essays the role of Ashish in said, mentioned, “On every Mahashivratri, early morning, I visit a temple and keep fast. My fast includes mainly eating Sweet Potato, Sabudana Khichdi, and fruits. This year as well, I will be visiting Lord Shiva temple to express my gratitude towards everything he has given to me in my life. Lastly, on this holy occasion of Mahashivratri, I hope that everyone’s prayers get answered.”
On the professional front, Ashi’s show has been on-air for the last two years and successfully managed to keep the audiences hooked to their show. Namish on the other hand recently returned to the small screen with ‘Maitree’ which is based on friendship.
