“Hmmm…. I’m sleeping peacefully. It’s 31st night of December. So, what…?? I love my sleep than anything…!! But, I’m continuously disturbed by crackers sounds and shouts. I think, it’s 12’0 clock now… everyone are screaming…

‘Aaaa…oooo……..aaaaaa….yeeeede…..eeeeeeseee…….hahahahahah….ooooooooooo’
‘Happy newwww yearrrrrrrrrr………!!”

“Ahhhhhhh…! I covered my face under pillow, so that I wouldn’t hear those sounds. I said know, even world ends I won’t wake up…!! My sleep is my first priority,..!!!”

Then came my dad, slowly in my ears…. “happy birthday beta….”

“Don’t disturb me….!!!” I said in sleepy voice….!

My dadi came, “ladoo…chal utt..! U r birthday and new year..!”

I hit her with pillow…!!

Hahaha…. I said naa, I’m not afraid of anyone..!!

My mom also came. But she didn’t disturb me. “Shekar, maa… we know about that lazy ladoo. Came and sleep. It’s common every year…!!”

She said and rubbed my head… I shouted in sleep only… “ummm..!”

My old woman(dadi) hit me on my back “lazy girl..!” She cursed me and went…

I won’t forget it…!! I will take revenge on her tomorrow…!!!

The folks left…. I woke with lots of struggle and locked the door, so that they won’t disturb me again…!!

Haaa…. I hugged my soft pillow in my warm bedsheet and slept again..! The

Dum…dum….thuiiii…..pahat pahat…… tapak…tapak…. crackers sounds didn’t disturbed me….

My eye lids were getting glued in sleep…..

Then suddenly…… here comes…..

Dab..dab…dab…

My room door sound..!!

Dab..dab…dabare dabare dab dab dab dab…!!!

Like tabala some one is knocking the door…!!!

I turned myself as Jansi ki raani…!!

Now that prey behind the door is dead in my hands…!!!

I grabbed my scale and held it as sword…!!

Who the hell is this much dare enough to disturb lioness while sleeping..!! And, they came to lioness cave and doing crazy things…!!!

Who ever it is… now finished….!!!!!

I opened the door and raised the scale… “eyyyyyyyyy……!!!!”

I became cold as ice as soon as i saw that ‘prey’ …. unknowingly the scale in my hand fell down making

‘Ti..tui tui..tuuuiiiii’ that sound only resonated as there is pin drop silence.

He was standing with bouquet of reeeeddd roses but no smile in his face…!!!

He just as a robot forwarded the bouquet telling, “happy birthday and happy new year…!!”

I took the bouquet and bend my head….!!!

Haaa…what am I doing..? Am I feeling shy…..??? Chiii….!!! That word is not at all there in my dictionary…!!! And more over, I shouldn’t feel weak before a boy…!!!

I looked at him straight….!!!! His eyes are seeing meee….!!!

Omg..!!! What’s happening to me…!!! I’m bending my eyes again….!!!!

Suddenly he held my hand…! How dare he…!!!

Till now, no man bug has kept hand on me…!!! No boy bug has looked at me…!!

And, he held my hand before all my family….!! Only because we both are engaged….

He brought me near huge cake…!

“I’m sleepy…! I said and about to go…. he stopped me. Cut the cake and go…!

Is it an order or request…?

“Chalo ladoo…! Cut the cake now…!!” My dadi said with smirking smile..!!

I glared at her and showed the plastic knife to her…!!! She scared and hid behind dadaji…!!!

Cut the cake..! I heard his authoritative voice…!!

What…? Even my principal never ordered me..! He is ordering and I’m not protesting. !

I cut the cake….

All sang…

“Happy birthday to you……!!!!!”

I smiled painfully…. I never woke up mid night in the night like this…!! Never ever…!!!

I said know, sleeping is my highest priority…!!!

Dadi, dadaji, papa and mama are laughing victoriously as they never succeeded in waking me up at night…. and he alone did it..!!

They came and kept cake in my mouth…. but I make cake face-pack on all their faces. Actually, I wanted to dip that Mr. Maheswari in cake…. but, i showed all anger on him to my family…!

But, what he did you know….!!!

He did the thing which my friends, sisters or family never dared to do…!!!

Applying cake on my face…..!!!!

He took huge amount of cream and applied that chocolate cake on my whole face…. in just seconds…!!!

I’m shocked….. followed by laughs of my parents and grand parents.

I glared at them. But they still laughed…!

My god….! That Mr. Maheswari also had small smile on his face.

He knows smiling…??

I ran to my room and closed the door…!!!

My old woman’s laugh is louder..!

“Haha, beta,.! U r correct for my ladoo to tie her..!!!”

Finished…!! This dadi is finished in my hands tomorrow…!!!

I went near window… that boy is about to sit in car… he turned to me and gave a flying kiss….

Now what…? I should catch it as Sachin Tendulkar? I closed the window before it reached me…!!!

I opened the window when I heard the car sound.

I looked at the going away car…..

Now, what..? I should marry him..? He brought me a bouquet, a cake…and wished me disturbing my precious sleep.

Do he love me or taking revenge on me…????
