Bua insists that Arohi must change her name to Akansha, citing a Deewan house rule that every daughter-in-law must adopt a new name for astrological blessings. She argues that Arohi’s current name is unlucky, using her own gunshot injury as proof. Arohi refuses, stating her name is her identity and a blessing from her parents. Kailash supports Bua, enforcing the house rule, but Anuradha intervenes, revealing that no one, including herself, Badra, or Kanika, was happy about changing their names and that she will protect her daughter-in-law from the same fate.
The conflict escalates until Abhishek arrives. He seemingly sides with his father but reveals Arohi’s new name is “Arohi Shinde Deewan,” cleverly upholding the “rule” without erasing her identity. He then exposes his mother’s lie about Arohi’s disability, revealing she bribed a doctor to keep them apart. Despite Arohi’s forgiveness, Kailash remains adamant about the name change, part of a plan with Bua to either control Arohi or force her out.
As punishment for defiance, Kailash orders Arohi to clean the entire house alone. Anuradha, Arohi, and Abhishek stand united against him, with Anuradha declaring she will clean instead. Abhishek apologizes to his mother for misjudging her. Seeing the family’s solidarity, Bua strategically declares that the house rules are changing and that Arohi will now manage the household. When Devika arrives, the nurse signals Bua to move her to a corner room, but Arohi successfully advocates for a sunlit room to improve Devika’s health, asserting her new authority.
