Arohi waits for the bus and thanks Abhishek for gifting her a bag, insisting she will repay him, but he refuses. She reminds him that friendship shouldn’t involve money. When Shanaya calls, Abhishek ignores her, which Arohi notices. Once on the bus, the manager introduces them to his family and serves food on a single plate, explaining that a husband and wife should eat together to strengthen their bond. Hesitant at first, they share the food.
During the ride, Abhishek teases Arohi about Sagar, her fiancé, asking why she applied for matrimony if he is her finance and whether she plans to meet Varun. Confused, he questions her, but Arohi explains Sagar isn’t a good person, and she cannot marry him. She recounts her struggles—her family’s restrictions on ghunghat, Raja Ram’s plea to the panchayat for her education, her mother’s illness preventing her from sharing matters, and her father giving her a month to choose a groom.
The bus stops for worship, and Sagar visits the panchayat, complaining that Arohi defied him and demanding action. Meanwhile, Abhishek admires Arohi and encourages her to share her expectations for her future husband. She tells him what she desires in a groom, and he shares his family situation with her, advising that she must consider his mother’s likes and dislikes as well.
Later, Arohi meets Varun, and he invites her to sit beside him, making Abhishek jealous and disappointed. Varun and his mother are impressed with Arohi, while Sagar, desperate, threatens to die at the panchayat office if his wedding with Arohi is not performed.
