Immersed in the moment, Khushi collects the flowers joyfully, her laughter echoing through the air.
In contrast, another girl, Sweety, sits at home with her mother, Mamta. Mamta fusses over her daughter’s appearance, insisting she groom herself and even get her eyebrows done. Her goal is clear — she wants Sweety to receive the temple priest’s blessings so she can find a good husband one day. At that moment, Khushi returns home, dripping wet but glowing with happiness after her playful escapade. Seeing her stepdaughter’s cheerful spirit,
Taking advantage of the moment, Mamta and Sweety quietly steal the lotus flowers Khushi had collected while she goes to freshen up. They lock the door from outside to delay her and hurry to the temple. When people begin asking about Khushi’s absence, the mother-daughter duo feign ignorance.
Rajkumar, Mamta’s husband and Khushi’s stepfather, questions Mamta about Khushi’s whereabouts. His concern irritates Mamta, who snaps that he always favors Khushi over Sweety. Her resentment toward Khushi, the daughter of his late wife, becomes increasingly visible.
Inside the locked house, Khushi refuses to give up. Determined to complete her offering, she climbs to the roof and jumps down courageously, running barefoot to the temple. There, Mamta lies to the priest, claiming Sweety plucked the lotus flowers. But as the main priest arrives, he sees through the deception. Breathless and radiant, Khushi appears at the temple gates. Recognizing her devotion, the priest blesses Khushi instead and declares that she is destined for a life as blessed and regal as a queen’s — leaving Mamta and Sweety speechless.

Their daughter-in-law, Aradhya, enters to give Nandita her medicines, but Nandita insists on fasting for a religious occasion. The family lovingly dissuades her, worried for her health. Later, Nandita and her husband Vikram reminisce about their family while preparing for a festive ceremony. A painful shadow still lingers — their daughter once eloped with a driver, a scandal that continues to draw mockery from their other children, Queeny and Vikram Jr. Despite the hurt, the old couple continue to honor their late daughter’s memory by donating to the poor. Their son-in-law Diljit, empathetic and kind, apologizes for the family’s harshness and comforts them with understanding words.
Meanwhile, in another lively corner of town, a mischievous boy named Krishna borrows a police uniform from a friend acting in a play. Pretending to be an officer, he amuses himself by catching local troublemakers. When told to return the uniform, he’s instructed to have it ironed first. Krishna takes it to Khushi’s ironing shop, where she insists he wait his turn. Annoyed, Krishna boasts that he’s an actor, but Khushi quickly sees through his lie. Irritated by his arrogance, she presses the costume in anger — accidentally burning it. Later, when Krishna discovers the damage, he fumes, setting the stage for their next fiery encounter.
Precap: Nandita insists that her mother apologize to her father and make amends for the past misunderstanding. Meanwhile, Krishna is pressured to give a false statement as a witness against Rajkumar.
