Mannara Chopra Opens Up About Her Famous Cousins and Bigg Boss 17 Experience: ‘I Didn’t Want to Take Advantage’

Mannara Chopra, securing the third position on the recently concluded season of Bigg Boss 17, shared insights into her reality show journey and addressed her relationship with renowned cousins Priyanka Chopra and Parineeti Chopra in a candid interview with Bollywood Bubble. Explaining her decision not to discuss her famous relatives during her stint on the show, Mannara emphasized her principles of independence and humility.

The actor articulated, “It’s a principle in my life; I refrain from leveraging my family’s fame. When people would bring up the topic, I would question why they were discussing my family. If I was invited to the Bigg Boss platform, it was because they appreciated my individuality as Mannara. I wanted the focus to be on me—my films, my journey—engage with me, argue with me, have conversations with me.”

Mannara expressed discomfort with the notion of showcasing her family for personal gain, stating, “Everyone has their own life, including Priyanka and Parineeti, who are married and have their own families. It seemed like unnecessary showboating to me. I didn’t want to present myself in that light. Celebrities and even our esteemed host Salman Khan knew me for who I am. It wouldn’t have felt right to mention someone else in every conversation. That was my rationale.”

The grand finale of Bigg Boss 17, hosted by Salman Khan, aired on January 28, 2024, where Mannara competed alongside fellow finalists Ankita Lokhande, Munawar Farqui, Abhishek Kumar, and Arun Mashetty. Munawar Faruqui emerged victorious, claiming the coveted title. Mannara, known for her roles in films such as “Zid,” “Thikka,” and “Rogue,” showcased her resilience and personality throughout her journey on the reality show.
