After the ritualistic wedlock Pooja was over, Ananya turns to leave but was held back by the knotted chunri. Shiv turns to hold her in his arms. They share a deep eye lock. Some of the color from around fell into her hairline. She walks past Shiv, dragging his chunri off his shoulder. Shiv continues the prayers. He was given a Prasad by the Pandit to be applied on forehead. It was a piece of jewel which they found nearby on the floor.
It was now evening. Ananya cautiously walks into the house. It was all dark. She bends to take her shoes off. She finds a knotted chunri with hers and wonders what kind of gift she got in return. The lights of the hall turn on. The family was waiting for Ananya to return, her father questions where she had been. Rekha says Ananya had gone to temple, her prayer for
Ananya’s father was angry that his daughter is ill-omened since her birth. She killed her mother first, and then against her father’s respect. He was about to slap Ananya but Dadi stops Kamal, and tells him to use his brain. Kamal tells his mother to marry this girl soon now. Dadi clarifies to Ananya that they will soon marry her. Sunanda silently thinks Ananya will be married this year but with Mann only. Then Mann will prey on her, and she will get her strengths back.
In the room, Ananya notices the footsteps of Sunanda. Sunanda was worried that Ananya must have felt each bitter word of her father. Ananya cries and hugs Sunanda and realizes her back was bruised. She forces Sunanda to sit for a medicine. She cries that no one even treats an animal the way they treat her. She decides that Sunanda will now stay here with her, pours her a glass of water and cleans her tears. Sunanda remembers the past flashes from Mohini and Mann. She spots the knotted chunri. She was at once quizzical, and asks Ananya where she had gone. Ananya jokes that may be someone had jokingly tied it. Sunanda angrily warns her not to even joke about it, doesn’t she know her father’s furor. Ananya hugs her mother. She says she will never let her values down. Sunanda takes Shiv’s chunri. She asks Ananya which temple she had gone. She walks downstairs, and says there is something in this Chunri that gives her a feel of Mann around. She has to dig the reason.
Shiv returns to his room. He holds the earring.
At night, Ananya was sleepless and gets flashes from Shiv. She was annoyed and tells the young man to leave her dreams. He isn’t as special. There, Shiv still held the earring and thinks whoever this girl is, she is crazy.
The next morning, Sunanda set for temple with Shiv’s Chunri. She thinks wherever Mann is, she will find him anyway. After the morning workout, Shiv impatiently eats the sweets and thinks he hadn’t such sweets in years. He recollects the flavors from his childhood, eating from his mother. He thinks he must meet the person who connected him to his mother’s memories.
Sunanda brings the chunri to Pandit ji in temple. She says someone must have get the Pooja done quite intently, she wish to return it. Pandit ji says a couple got the pooja yesterday, may be his name was Shiv. Shiv was around in the temple. Pandit ji offers to return the chunri if someone comes asking about it. She however prefers keep it to herself. She now turns around and was relieved that the guy’s name wasn’t Mann. She had written Mann’s fate years ago, and he will have to marry Ananya. Her life is still woven with a single threat sharing Mann. She decides to find they relation this chunri has with Mann.
Shiv comes to meet Pandit ji and asks about his chunri. Pandit ji says a girl came to return the chunri but then took it along. Shiv wished to know about the earring. Pandit ji says it was Prasad for him, no one will ask him to return it.
On her way back, Sunanda sense a strange present around her. Shiv came out of the temple. She turns to show the Chunri, and silently calls him Mann.
