Guys, this is going to be a bit unusual….sorry, if it breaks your heart. I don’t know..i just felt like writing….i honestly am not sure about this…unusual pairing and a really messed up storyline…I just hope to god that you like it. Please please do let me know.

Samaira khanna was a modern girl, married happily for two years..
She thanked god every day for showing her the light. She just didn’t want to think what might have happened if it wasn’t for her best friend radhika.

Flashback…….
Samaira was in college, was a bright student. She was modern girl…she believed in relationships….she believed in true love.
Sam fell for a guy…the typical sort of guys, girls usually fall for in teenage or college.

His name was neil…a typical bad boy….the usual sort…popular among girls…was an avid biker.

Neil proposed to sam…and sam accepted. She didn’t know that he was sort of a playboy. She genuinely thought that he harboured feelings for her…..that he genuinely cared. But he didn’t. He just wanted girls to warm his bed and never to see them again.

Radhika, who too was in the same college…..often wondered what made sam fall for a guy like that…was it his dimpled smile or the fact that she thought he loved her.

After getting to know about neil’s reputation and his past. Radhika tried to explain all that to sam. But sam was head over heels in love…she was engrossed with neil’s thoughts to realise that it was strictly one sided thing.

Neil on the other hand loved radhika. It was only radhika who occupied his mind. True, that he played with other girls which included her best friend. But the only girl that actually affect him was radhika. To neil, radhika was different. She wasn’t the sort of girl you play with……she was a keeper and that’s what neil wanted. Radhika was confident…knew what she wanted and wasn’t the type to be easily swayed by her feelings. Every action of hers only made neil faller deeper for her. He just wanted to marry and hold her hand for the rest of his life.But radhika pretended to ignore his existence and it hurt him a lot. He didn’t know why she did it …he wasn’t aware of the fact that sam was radhika’s best friend and radhika didn’t know that he loved her. Neil didn’t know how to express his feelings to her…true, he had fooled a number of girls but he never felt anything for them and when he actually felt for a girl…he didn’t know to express it. He just diverted his mind each time he saw radhika by playing and fooling a couple of more girls.

Days passed on, neil continued playing with sam…and sam kept believing him. Radhika was angry and was determined to prove herself correct…she started collecting proofs against neil.

she got hold of a couple of videos of his romancing different girls and when she had enough evidences. she showed them to sam. Sam was heart broken…she cried but radhika didn’t stop to console her.
Radhika was angry “ just stop crying over a jerk like him…..and to be honest it was your mistake to trust him. And now I hope you understand and I expect you to do the necessary.”
Sam nodded and wiped her tears. She had to talk to neil and let out her frustration…her anguish.
Sam walked to neil and slapped him hard.
Neil, “what the hell….hold your horses woman…whats wrong..”
Sam wanted to kill him for breaking her heart as well numerous other, “whats wrong….let me tell you…whats wrong….do you think it makes you cool to be a playboy and use and dump girls…no sir, it certainly does not. *sam was angry till then but started to turn soft a bit…she was sobbing*
You know it isn’t your fault …its mine…..i shouldn’t have trusted you and I should have listened to radhika. You never loved anyone…how would you know the value of love and a loved one. You don’t know what it is to get your heart broken by someone you love more than your own self.”
Neil’s heart was pierced by sam’s words…..he got his heart broken each day by radhika’s ignorance and avoidance.

But seeing sam, he for the first in life was guilty was his actions…he felt bad to have wronged a girl and to have played with her feelings.
Neil apologised from the bottom of his heart. He didn’t apologise once but a number of times. Sam looked in his eyes and just knew he wasn’t lying then. She too forgave him….. and they became good friends.

After a few days, nesam were walking back home when sam asked him, “ do you love someone?”
Neil, “what makes you think I do?”
Sam, “ that day…the way you apologised….the way you reacted when I said you could never love someone and you never had your heart broken…I felt you love someone deeply.”
Neil didn’t reply…after a couple of minutes..sam spoke, “ so who is she?”
Neil, “her name is radhika….she is in our college itself. But I don’t know why…I just wait to have a glimpse of her each day and she just walks past me as if I am not there.”

Sam was giggling and this annoyed neil, “whats so funny?”
Sam spoke between laughs, “love is a fuuny thing neil….you don’t know why it happens…it just does and by the way radhika is my best friend and she pretends to ignore you because you broke my heart. In fact she was the one who showed me your videos.”
Neil gasped at the way sam said it so casually. Finally, he understood and he confessed his feelings for radhika in front of sam…he just poured his heart out. He had tears in his eyes and just by looking at him sam knew he wasn’t lying.
Sam told him that his way of hiding his feelings wasn’t appropriate….also, that if he loved radhika truly, he will change all his bad habits.
Neil turned a new leaf….he no longer was the playboy…he started dressing sensibly…sobered his looks up and focusing on his studies. It surprised everyone around him. Radhika too started talking to him only because sam insisted her to. She didn’t know that someday her feelings towards neil may change. Neil knew he had to prove himself to radhika and he knew was going to do it for all he was worth.

After a couple months, marriage proposals started coming in sam’s house. And sam’s father finalised on one , ‘Arjun Mehra’….he was the owner of mehra industries….was extremely handsome….a guy with an extremely neat and clean past. he was the sort of guy every girl wanted.

Sam had stopped believing in love, the day she realised that neil had been fooling with her. His apologises and radhika’s explainations didn’t change anything….the damage had been done. Sam had caged her heart and When her father asked for her approval. She too agreed. All she wanted to fulfil her responsibilities and make her parents happy. If this marriage was what it takes…sam was more than happy to do it. She didn’t believe in love any longer and this marriage was only going to be a cordial relationship for her.
The fortunate day arrived and samaira khanna married Arjun mehra.

Present day….
Just taking arjun’s name brought a smile to sam’s face. She realised how wrong she was. Arjun was her true love…neil wasnt. Arjun made her realise what love actually is and made her believe in it again. Arjun broke the jail in which had caged her heart.

She smiled and sat thinking of Arjun…how he cared for her…how he used to sit beside her not sleeping the entire night when she was ill…their playful Sundays…..how he had tears in his eyes when sam got hurt.

She then thought of radhika and neil…her two best friends and laughed her heart out.

It has been two years. Neil now is the CEO of a successful company. Radhika loves him too….though she hasn’t expressed, everyone can see it ….except the idiot neil..who is still busy proving himself.

Guys, don’t you think that movies and books set quite a high standard for love. I mean, what we see in movies isn’t what we get in real life. Everyone doesn’t get the one they love in actual reality. Movies just create a illusion for love which is gonna break later in life only to disappoint you.

Its just a thought…..there are different ways to perceive things and I’ll happy to hear yours. 
