Adit’s colleagues and boss visit him at home after his accident. Welcoming them warmly, Adit reassures his boss that he’s fine and expresses gratitude for his promotion. However, his boss delivers unexpected news—due to Adit’s condition, the company has decided to transfer the promotion to someone else, as the new project starts immediately. This stuns Adit and his family.
Desperate, Adit pleads with his boss to reconsider, insisting that he’s capable despite his injury. When he tries to stand, he fails, and Mangal helps him back into his chair. Despite repeated requests, the boss remains firm, advising Adit to focus on recovery and assuring him of future opportunities. But Adit, feeling betrayed, lashes out, accusing the company of abandoning him in his time of need. In frustration, he demands his rightful position, even threatening to resign.
Angered by Adit’s behavior, the boss warns him to be respectful, reminding him that another employee might have lost their job entirely. Furious, Adit declares he wants neither the job nor the promotion and orders them to leave. The boss warns that he’ll regret this decision before walking out with the colleagues. After they leave, Kusum scolds Adit, but he insists he did the right thing and storms off. Mangal, understanding Adit’s pain, tells Kusum to let him be—his dreams have just been crushed.
Meanwhile, at home, Lakshmi prepares a cake for Karthik. Gayatri, noticing Karthik is missing, grows alarmed and rushes to stop him from seeing his wedding photos. In her haste, she bumps into Lakshmi, spilling the cake and milk. She then firmly warns Lakshmi to stay away from Karthik, leaving her confused and suspicious.
Inside Karthik’s room, Umesh quickly turns off the lights before Karthik can see the photos, while Gayatri fabricates a story about pest control, urging him to stay elsewhere for the night. Later, Karthik hears a familiar song and questions its release, but Gayatri cleverly distracts him. Lakshmi grows increasingly uneasy. She senses that the family is hiding something from her and becomes determined to uncover the truth.
