Lakshmi nearly falls out of a window, but Karan arrives just in time to save her. As she regains her senses, she questions why he held her. When he tries to leave, she asks where he’s going, teasing that he’s acting like a boss. He makes a remark about her, cleans his shoe with her designer cloth, and departs. Shankar arrives shortly after, expressing relief that Karan saved her in time. Lakshmi reflects on the incident, realizing the man saved her despite her scolding. She asks Shankar who Karan is, but before he can answer, his friend calls, reminding him he left the stove on, and he rushes off.
The next day, Lakshmi prays to Maata Rani, asking for her constant support, and wakes her colleague Swetha. Meanwhile, Karan instructs his assistant Gyabi to prepare a termination letter for Lakshmi. Shocked but obedient, Gyabi follows his orders, throwing Lakshmi’s belongings out. Lakshmi questions her actions, and Gyabi hands her the termination letter, telling her, “I don’t know how you got this job. Go back to your village and work there.” Lakshmi insists she needs the job and will speak to Barkha ma’am. Gyabi clarifies that it was the boss, not Barkha, who fired her, adding that she doesn’t know what Lakshmi did to anger him. She throws Lakshmi’s belongings out again. Lakshmi clings emotionally to a handkerchief bearing her and Karthik’s names. Other employees want to help, but Gyabi warns them to return to work, threatening that Barkha ma’am will not forgive interference. Reluctantly, Lakshmi packs up and leaves the office.
Barkha calls Gyabi, instructing her to ask Lakshmi to come to her cabin to discuss new designs, unaware that Lakshmi has been fired by Karan.
Meanwhile, Umesh stares at Karthik’s photo, crying, “I’m lifeless without you, Karthik. Please come back.” He suddenly suffers an attack. Gayatri notices his condition worsening and calls the doctor, acknowledging that only Karthik’s return can help him. She tries contacting Karthik, but he doesn’t answer. When Sanjana calls, Gayatri explains that Umesh’s health is deteriorating and Karthik hasn’t returned since Lakshmi left. Determined, she decides to bring Karthik back.
Barkha insists to Karan that they need Lakshmi, but he argues he doesn’t need rude employees. Barkha counters, explaining she cannot train a new employee so quickly and warns him to consider how they’ll explain Lakshmi’s absence to Dadi. She urges Karan to prevent Lakshmi from leaving the city.
Precap: Lakshmi worries about finding another job, realizing she doesn’t even have enough money for an auto. Karan asks her to come with him, but she refuses, saying she cannot go. The next day, while Lakshmi is walking along the road, she is forcibly pulled into a vehicle.
