Mangal grows anxious when she realizes Ishana is missing. She calls Ishana’s phone, only to find it left behind at home. Adit mentions that none of Ishana’s friends know her whereabouts, and Kapil confirms she isn’t on the terrace. Sowmya suggests Ishana might have left due to Adit insulting her during the engagement and expresses concern, but Mangal silences her. Kapil urges them to stop arguing and heads out to check at Ishana’s school.
Worried and not having heard back from Kapil, Mangal decides to go to the police. As she opens the door to leave, she finds Ishana standing there, crying. Ishana apologizes for not being with her during the engagement and says she left out of regret for her earlier behavior. She hands Mangal a gift—bought with three months’ pocket money—as an apology. Mangal opens it to find a dupatta, meant to replace the one Ishana had previously torn. Mangal accepts the gesture, though she scolds Ishana for going alone. Ishana promises not to repeat it.
Kapil calls to inform Mangal that Ishana wasn’t found at school. Mangal updates him that Ishana had gone to her office to surprise her and is now home. Kapil finds the gesture sweet. Meanwhile, in her room, Ishana secretly tears a magazine photo of Mangal and Kapil, burns Kapil’s picture, and disposes of the ashes—hinting at her deeper resentment.
Pratima later asks Kapil about Ishana. He assures her all is well and says he once thought Mangal was being forced into marriage but now believes everything is on track, especially with Sudesh, Kusum, and Ishana’s apparent approval. He shares that he likes Mangal, and Pratima knowingly smiles—though she privately hopes he never learns the truth about Mangal being pressured into the marriage.
Mangal later smells something burning in Ishana’s room. Ishana lies, claiming it’s a chemistry experiment. Mangal warns her against such acts. She then confides in Ishana that she’s marrying Kapil only because of pressure from her mother, Shanti. Unknown to her, Ishana secretly records this confession on Mangal’s phone. Mangal explains that she never saw Kapil romantically and is only going through with the wedding to protect her mother. Ishana, now fully understanding the situation, prepares to send the recording to Kapil but is stopped when Mangal takes her phone back. Ishana starts plotting how to retrieve it.
Elsewhere, Adit struggles to teach Akshat math. Mangal steps in, explains the BODMAS rule, and Akshat praises her as a genius. Adit thanks her for the help.
As Mangal prepares to leave for work, Ishana asks her to stay home. Mangal declines, citing important tasks, and promises to return soon. After she leaves, Ishana seizes the chance to steal Mangal’s phone and sends the recorded confession to Kapil. Kapil receives the audio message, setting the stage for further revelations.
