Sowmya offers spiked juice to Mangal, but she refuses. Upset, Sowmya throws it away, wondering how to make Mangal consume the sleeping tablets. Later, Kusum asks Mangal to eat a banana due to Visarjan, but when Mangal goes aside to take a doctor’s call, Sowmya injects sleeping medicine into the banana. Just as Mangal is about to eat it, a ball knocks it from her hand, and Adit unknowingly ruins Sowmya’s plan.
During pooja, Adit sees Sudesh applying sindoor on Kusum and recalls his own wedding with Mangal. He tries to fill her maang, but Mangal stops him, shocking everyone. Hurt, Adit says he doesn’t like her and leaves, while Sowmya feels relieved that Mangal refused.
Later, while preparing for Visarjan, Mangal falls unconscious in the storeroom because of dhoop arranged by Sowmya. Seizing the chance, Sowmya locks her inside a sandook and plans to send it with Ganapati’s belongings for immersion, thinking this year Mangal’s Visarjan will happen too.
Adit searches for Mangal but, misled by Sowmya, assumes she doesn’t care for him. Kusum grows worried when Mangal doesn’t arrive with Ganapati’s items, while the men unknowingly carry the sandook with Mangal inside near the idol. As everyone leaves for Visarjan, Sowmya smirks, believing Mangal will meet her end.
