Adit gives Kusum her blood pressure medicine and scolds Mangal and others for attending her mehendi, saying it was a mistake. Akshat cries, and Adit comforts him. When Mangal enters, she asks Kusum if she has taken her medicine, but Adit accuses her of showing fake concern, reminding her that his mother was insulted at the function. Kusum starts crying as Mangal insists it was a misunderstanding and that Kapil has already apologized. Adit counters that Kapil only apologized because the necklace was found; otherwise, they would have been branded thieves. Kusum feels hurt seeing Mangal side with her new family.
Meanwhile, Chinta Bua questions Bijli about how the necklace went missing from Kusum’s bag. Kapil informs Pratima that he found the necklace in Kusum’s bag but insists Kusum didn’t steal it—someone planted it, discovered while Adit was dancing in his intoxicated state. Kapil vows to catch the culprit. Overhearing this, Chinta Bua fears being exposed and innocently tells Kapil to let go of the matter, pretending she was wrong to accuse Kusum. Kapil says he won’t forgive whoever tried to frame Kusum.
Adit scolds Mangal for taking Kapil’s side and insists they were wrong to attend the function. He adds that he had called her several times to give Kusum medicine, but she didn’t respond, causing the misunderstanding. Kusum interrupts, saying she doesn’t want to hear more, and tells Mangal to stop. Adit leaves, and Kusum instructs the kids to rest before walking away with Sudesh.
Chinta Bua asks Kapil to swear he’ll forget the necklace issue so she can feel at peace, and he reluctantly agrees, while wondering about Kusum’s feelings. Sudesh reminds Kusum that Mangal had called Adit despite her assurances, yet Adit didn’t reveal it to anyone, protecting her. They acknowledge it’s too late to discuss further as Mangal’s wedding is the next day. Akshat overhears and cries, fearing his mother will leave.
Later, Ishana and Mangal comfort Akshat, who asks if she will leave them after marriage. Mangal promises he will never be separated from her again, recalling past trauma when he was sent to boarding school. She assures him no one can take her children away from her.
Mangal calls Kapil to meet her urgently at a café. Pratima wonders whose call it was, and Kapil explains that Mangal wants reassurance about her children before marriage. Chinta Bua expresses dislike for Mangal’s kids and ex-in-laws, secretly hoping the marriage will fail, but Pratima dismisses her concerns.
At the café, Kapil reassures Mangal that her children will live with her and that he considers them his own. Mangal thanks him for always supporting her and easing her worries. Kapil inquires about Kusum’s health; Mangal says her self-respect was hurt. Kapil promises to apologize to Kusum and asks Mangal for a promise, leaving her curious about what he is asking.
