While helping an elderly man near the temple, Mangal is stunned to recognize him as her father, Sudesh. Overwhelmed, she pleads for help, but a shopkeeper claims Sudesh is merely his laborer and refuses assistance. Mangal firmly declares Sudesh is her father and threatens police action, forcing the man to back off.
At the same time, Kusum struggles to light a diya at Sudesh’s photo, interpreting the extinguishing flame as a sign. A pandit explains that some souls take time to find peace. Meanwhile, Sowmya panics upon seeing Adit wearing Sudesh’s slippers, fearing a haunting, until Adit clarifies he wore them in remembrance.
During Sudesh’s shanti pooja, Mangal suddenly interrupts by dousing the havan with water. As Adit and Kusum scold her, she shocks everyone by announcing Sudesh is still alive and brings in a frail Sudesh with a ward boy. The family is left speechless—Kusum and Adit are overwhelmed, while Sowmya is terrified, haunted by the memory of pushing him off a cliff.
Mangal shares that she found Sudesh near the temple and reminds Adit that Sudesh is her father too. Sowmya begins to worry Sudesh might expose her, hoping instead that he suffers from memory loss. When Kusum questions him, Sudesh remains unresponsive, and Mangal explains the doctor said he is in shock and needs time to recover. The family begins to care for him, but while Adit rejoices, Sowmya secretly fears her dark secret could soon be revealed.
