Kapil stares at a photo of himself and Mangal, haunted by the memory of Adit breaking Mangal’s fast. Just then, Mangal enters with water, saying, “I heard you haven’t had water all morning.” She explains how she fainted and Adit helped her, but Kapil coldly cuts her off. “I didn’t ask for an explanation,” he says. “My mother’s anger is justified—her dreams were shattered in front of everyone. I can’t keep seeing her hurt.” He walks away, refusing to be part of “this fast and ritual drama.”
Meanwhile, Adit broods over Pratima’s insults. When Mangal returns, he lashes out: “Where were you when your mother-in-law humiliated me and my mother?” Mangal insists she tried explaining, but Adit snaps, “You saved yourself but left me as the villain. Go live with your new family!” Mangal pleads, but Adit retorts, “You always said I never broke your fast on time—well, I did it this time!” Mangal replies bitterly, “We’re not together anymore, and you weren’t there when I really needed you.” Kusum watches silently, puzzled by Adit’s lingering attachment.
Later, Kapil urges Pratima to eat, but she sighs, “I thought you’d moved on, but maybe Mangal isn’t right for you. Adit will always be in her life.” Kapil remains silent, his hunger mirroring his turmoil.
Back home, Mangal finds a food thali, but Sowmya mocks her: “Didn’t Kapil feed you? Call Adit again!” Mangal fires back, “Adit just helped me—stop twisting things!” Sowmya sneers, “You want both men?” Mangal retorts, “I’ve signed the divorce papers. Isn’t that enough for you?” She tries to leave, but Sowmya blocks her, forcing Mangal to push past.
Meanwhile, Shanti begs Pratima to forgive Mangal, but Pratima refuses: “I can’t watch my son suffer. Mangal isn’t right for him.”
Later, Mangal serves Kapil food, but he assumes it’s from a servant and orders it taken away—until he sees her. “Are you bribing me with homemade food?” he asks bitterly. Mangal’s eyes well up. “I don’t like seeing you starve because of me,” she whispers. As she turns to leave, Kapil grabs her wrist, leaving them both in tense silence.
The episode ends.

The issue here, having watched an episode in so long, is sowmya. How are the writers ever gonna gain retribution for her character, she’s been despicable for so long the only way to remedy that is to kill her off. There’s no other option to reveal her crimes than to disregard them and end her story
