Mangal gives Kusum the medicine while Sowmya keeps a close watch, waiting for its effect. Mangal advises Kusum to rest and begins planning for Saraswati Puja. Meanwhile, Sowmya anxiously waits outside Kusum’s room, but upon hearing nothing, she panics when Mangal confronts her. Mangal questions Sowmya’s presence, suspecting her intentions, but Sowmya denies any wrongdoing. Suddenly, Kusum reports that a thief entered her room, and Mangal rushes to check. She notices footprints and fights the thief, who escapes after pushing her. Sowmya realizes the thief was real and that her medicine did not work on Kusum. Kusum, concerned for Mangal’s safety, scolds her for risking her life.
Later, Lipika reveals herself as the thief, having acted on Mangal’s request to test Kusum’s reaction. Since Kusum behaved normally, Mangal suspects something is amiss. She recalls seeing Sowmya bribing the delivery boy for the medicine and had secretly switched the real medicine with water. Now, Mangal is determined to catch Sowmya red-handed.
The next day, Mangal prepares for the puja, while Sowmya argues with Adit about her lack of importance in the family. Adit mocks her for wanting to handle the puja, as she lacks knowledge of rituals. Mangal, however, allows Sowmya to take charge, provided she performs it sincerely. Determined to execute her plan, Sowmya attempts to mix the medicine into the laddoo but panics when Mangal suddenly appears.
In jail, Karthik and Lakshmi share a romantic moment. Jia scolds the inspector for allowing Lakshmi, disguised as a man, to enter unnoticed. To avoid capture, Lakshmi escapes by hiding in the garbage. Jia pressures the inspector to interrogate Karthik, but he denies involvement, claiming he is being framed. He further exposes that poison was mixed into his food. Jia, fearing exposure, keeps quiet. Later, Lakshmi informs her family about Karthik’s condition, while Jia secretly agrees to meet Sanjana, who promises to help her save Karthik.
