Mangal confronts Kapil about what he’s hiding, and Kapil explains that Pratima, who used to do charity in Jaipur, now feels lost about where to donate in Delhi. He adds that Pratima wanted to ask Mangal for advice but he discouraged her, not wanting to disturb Mangal. Pratima mentions it’s Vat Savitri Pooja and expresses her wish to do charity.
This reminds Mangal of performing the Vat Savitri Pooja with Kusum in the past. She reassures Pratima and suggests a nearby temple for donations before heading there herself. At the temple, Mangal arranges for the pooja to be performed for eleven married women. Meanwhile, Sowmya arrives, spots Mangal, and plots to embarrass her in front of Adit by writing Kusum’s name in the pooja register and leaving.
Later, Sowmya receives a call from Adit while eating. She quickly answers, claiming to be fasting for him and asks for a gift, though Adit worries about affording it after recently buying her an expensive purse. He recalls how, in the past, Kusum would ask him to buy a gift for Mangal on Vat Savitri, but he would respond harshly, and Mangal would dismiss the idea.
Kusum then gets a call from the temple about a pooja, but due to poor reception, she hands the phone to Mangal, who only learns that Kusum is invited to a pooja. Kusum decides to attend.
At the temple, Kusum is insulted by the married women for participating in the Vat Savitri Pooja as a widow. She tries to explain her invitation, but they accuse her of lying. Sowmya brings Adit to witness the scene, and as Adit rushes to Kusum, he is hit by a car and injured. Mangal catches Kusum as she nearly collapses, and Adit is relieved to see her safe.
Kusum explains to Adit what happened, and Mangal boldly defends Kusum, questioning the women’s lack of respect for Kusum’s age. The women argue that a widow’s presence is inauspicious for the pooja, but Mangal challenges their beliefs, asking if their ritual is so fragile that it could be ruined by a widow’s presence, and criticizes their narrow-mindedness
