Shanti urges Kusum to hear the truth, but Kusum questions what truth she means. Mangal asks Shanti not to interfere and promises Kusum that she’ll speak up herself. As Mangal begins to talk, a vase accidentally falls, and a shard injures her arm. Shanti remarks that nothing good will happen to Mangal as long as Kusum is in her life. Mangal tells Shanti to stop, but before she can continue, Kusum interrupts and warns her to stay silent. Kusum then tells Pratima she’s leaving and walks away.
Frustrated, Mangal lashes out at Shanti, saying she doesn’t understand how important Kusum is to her. She explains that Kusum has always supported her, and although she may keep distance from Adit’s family, she cannot sever ties with them completely.
Meanwhile, Sowmya becomes anxious upon learning that Pratima has arranged Kapil’s marriage with someone else—even though she wants Mangal for him. She immediately calls Pratima, and Mangal hands over the phone. While treating Mangal’s wound, Shanti watches on. Pratima confirms the marriage and reveals that the bride is Mangal. Excited, Sowmya ends the call but worries that Mangal might reveal this truth to Kusum and Adit. She decides it’s best if they discover it on their own.
Later, Kusum is in the kitchen and drops something. Assuming it’s Mangal helping her, she declines the gesture—only to find it’s Adit. When he offers to call Mangal, Kusum stops him. She complains that Mangal kept Shanti at Kapil’s house without telling them. Adit responds that it no longer matters since they don’t share a relationship with Mangal. He reminds her that Kapil is not just a business partner to Mangal but a close friend.
Mangal enters and asks what’s happening. Adit coldly asks her to cook only for Sudesh and says he’ll take the kids out. He leaves without listening. Mangal tries talking to Kusum, but she avoids the conversation and walks off.
Later, Mangal prepares coffee and finds Kusum sitting silently in a dark room. Mangal tells her the wedding with Kapil is fixed and confesses that Shanti pressured her into it. She asks if Kusum doesn’t even want to look at her face. She says if Kusum applies sindoor on her forehead tomorrow, she’ll consider it her blessing. Mangal then leaves.
However, it’s revealed that it wasn’t Kusum in the room—but Sowmya in disguise. After removing the disguise, Sowmya smiles, thinking Mangal now believes Kusum knows the truth. She plans to let Kusum and Adit discover everything themselves.
Later, Mangal sees Kusum again and is confused by her quick change of clothes. Kusum explains she changed for the Jagrata. Watching them from a distance, Sowmya worries that Mangal might try again to tell Kusum the truth.
Precap: Pratima calls Kapil and informs him that she has sent several wedding card designs for him to choose from. Kapil picks one and asks the office peon to deliver it to Adit. Adit receives the card, opens it, and sees the wedding invitation.
