Kusum sends the children to fetch water for Chinta Bua and Pratima while apologizing that the kitchen was burned, leaving her unable to perform proper swagat-satkar. Chinta Bua wastes no time in scolding Adit for carrying their would-be bahu in his arms. Adit defends himself firmly, saying Mangal was in danger during the fire and he could not leave her until Kapil arrived. He adds that his actions were out of duty, not impropriety, stating that he could never abandon the mother of his child in a life-threatening situation. Chinta Bua lashes back, hinting that his intentions are questionable. Adit, refusing to cower, rebukes her by insisting that his intentions are not wrong, but Chinta Bua warns him to stop.

Just then, Mangal enters. Kusum tries to calm Adit, but he replies that he is simply

answering doubts with honesty. Kusum quickly intervenes, apologizing to Chinta Bua and requesting her to forgive her son. She then spots Mangal and announces her arrival. Mangal respectfully tells Chinta Bua that the fire was accidental and Adit saved her life, but Chinta Bua curtly tells her to remain quiet. Kusum pleads with Chinta Bua to forgive the children and proceed with the purpose of their visit. Chinta Bua states that they only came to extend the wedding invitation on behalf of Kapil’s family, which has already been done. Adding insult, she instructs Kusum to ensure Adit stays away from Mangal and Kapil’s marriage functions. Adit responds calmly that he doesn’t need an invitation and wishes them well. Kusum diverts the tension by asking Adit to fetch a box from inside, while requesting Chinta Bua to wait for her reply.

Inside, Adit opens the box and finds the printed wedding cards of Kapil and Mangal. Seeing them pierces his heart. Meanwhile, Lipika serves juice to Dadi and Pratima, explaining that she prepared it because the kitchen is unusable. Chinta Bua praises Lipika’s gesture. Turning to Mangal, she remarks that she is fortunate—her second marriage is with a wealthy man like Kapil. Mangal softly responds that her true luck lies in having found an understanding partner. Adit, returning with the box, overhears this and freezes, devastated.

At that moment, Akshat and Ishana arrive. They notice the wedding card in Adit’s hand, recognize the situation, and hand one card over to Chinta Bua, who accepts it and then prepares to leave. Mangal bends down respectfully to seek blessings. Chinta Bua warns her not to meet Kapil until after marriage and insists she shouldn’t visit their house before the wedding. Mangal quietly agrees, leaving Kusum and Sudesh hurt by the coldness. Mangal silently goes to clean the kitchen.

Later, Kusum shares her worry with Sudesh, saying Chinta Bua’s behavior toward Mangal was unpleasant and wonders whether Mangal will truly be happy after her marriage. Sudesh reassures her that Kapil and Pratima are good at heart and believes Chinta Bua will eventually change once she sees Mangal’s goodness. Kusum nods reluctantly.

Back at Kapil’s house, Chinta Bua angrily tosses away the wedding invitation card given by Mangal’s family. Kapil picks it up and asks why. She replies bitterly that Mangal’s children’s names being printed on the card brings down their reputation. Kapil firmly dismisses her concern, saying it is their family’s card and nothing more. She then mentions Adit carrying Mangal in front of everyone, stirring more doubts, but Pratima steps in to explain how he saved her life. Disturbed, Kapil rushes out immediately.

At Adit’s home, Mangal is surprised when Kapil suddenly arrives. She reminds him that Bua Dadi had forbidden their meetings before marriage. Kapil, however, thanks Adit sincerely for saving Mangal’s life. On noticing the burns on her hand, he questions why she hadn’t informed him. Mangal insists she is fine and does not need treatment, but Kapil refuses to ignore it. Leading her into the hall, he gently applies cream to her injured hand, saying that since she denied seeing a doctor, he brought the remedy himself. Adit watches the scene silently, visibly unsettled, while Kusum discreetly observes his discomfort.

Precap: Kusum asks Mangal, “What is this?” Mangal replies, “It’s the wedding outfit sent from Kapil’s house.” Kusum tells Mangal to return it and adds that Adit has understood his mistake, urging Mangal to give him another chance. Mangal is taken aback by Kusum’s surprising request.
