Shanti challenges Mangal to prove her sincerity by sitting in the engagement pooja. Meanwhile, Sowmya grows suspicious about Kapil’s engagement and questions Adit, who admits he knows nothing about the bride and doubts Mangal would marry Kapil. Kusum arrives, surprised by the engagement news, and decides to confront Pratima directly.
At the pooja, Pratima pushes forward with the rituals, seating Kapil beside Mangal and asking the pandit to begin. She ignores Kusum’s call, praying the wedding proceeds smoothly. As the ceremony concludes, Pratima blesses the couple, declaring Mangal as part of their family. Mangal, overwhelmed, breaks down alone in the washroom.
Kusum arrives unexpectedly with temple prasad and demands to meet her new daughter-in-law. Pratima is caught off guard. Mangal is shocked to see Kusum, while Shanti grows tense and tries to slip away, but Kusum confronts her. Kusum questions Shanti’s presence, recalling Mangal claimed she was unwell and at home. Shanti clarifies she is temporarily staying at Pratima’s house.
Inside, Kusum accuses Mangal of lying. Shanti defends her, saying she called Mangal herself and blames Kusum for mistreating her. Mangal tries to explain that Shanti’s house is under renovation, but Kusum questions why she wasn’t brought home. Shanti retorts that Mangal no longer owes loyalty to Kusum’s family.
Kusum, hurt, sarcastically thanks Shanti for clarifying their broken relationship. Despite Mangal’s pleas, Kusum refuses to listen, claiming she saw everything with her own eyes. Shanti comforts Mangal, promising to explain everything to Kusum.
