Sowmya questions Mangal about her next move now that even her pastry chef has left. She reminds Mangal that she is uncomfortable using eggs and asks how she plans to make a professional three-tier cake without them. Bhabhiji arrives and asks Sowmya why she is standing at Mangal’s counter. Sowmya quickly steps aside, saying she was only trying to help.
Determined, Mangal throws the eggs into the dustbin and heads to the pantry. She picks bananas and other ingredients and begins preparing an eggless cake while simultaneously garnishing the kebab. Sowmya observes her progress and thinks she cannot let Mangal win. She signals Nidhi, who deliberately tampers with one of the cake sticks to sabotage Mangal’s final presentation.
Bhabhiji soon announces that all contestants must present
Mangal closes her eyes and prays to Maata Rani, not wanting to lose the competition. Outside, everyone assumes she has run away because her cake fell. The anchor declares that time is up — but at that very moment, Mangal arrives with a cake. Sowmya is stunned, unable to understand how Mangal managed to prepare a cake so quickly.
Bhabhiji starts tasting the dishes. When she reaches Mangal’s entry, she opens the box and is surprised to see a small cake. It is revealed that Mangal used the edible parts of the fallen cake to create a smaller, three-layered version. The other contestants mock her, calling it a toy and mocking her ability to save her marriage, let alone her cake.
Bhabhiji questions Mangal, who explains that she followed the rules by preparing three flavours and layered them to form a small wedding cake, pointing out that not all weddings are grand. Bhabhiji agrees, acknowledging that the rules never specified the cake’s size or height. She accepts the cake for judging but warns that this does not guarantee Mangal’s safety.
After tasting all the dishes, the anchor announces that one contestant will be eliminated. Sowmya eagerly waits for Mangal to be called out. The safe contestants are named first, leaving only Mangal and Pallavi. Bhabhiji reveals that although Pallavi’s cake looked perfect, it lacked flavour and was burnt. She emphasizes that taste is more important than decoration and declares Mangal safe. Pallavi is eliminated.
Mangal gratefully thanks Bhabhiji. Bhabhiji warns her that she survived only because someone performed worse and advises her to be more careful in the upcoming rounds.
Precap: Mangal gets a phone call informing her that Shanti’s condition has worsened. Worried, she immediately prepares to leave the competition, but Bhabhiji steps in and stops her before she can go.
