Akshat munches on a packet of chips when Mangal gently scolds him, saying packaged food isn’t healthy. Akshat casually responds that he eats it every day. Mangal offers to make homemade chips for him and urges him to stop eating junk. Meanwhile, Ishana quietly exits the room, and Adit silently observes. Mangal takes the chip packet from Akshat and reminds him to finish his homework. Akshat says he’ll get it done in two minutes and pulls out his iPad, planning to use AI. Mangal disapproves, emphasizing the importance of using his own brain. When Akshat says there’s no one to help him, she explains that relying on AI won’t help him in exams and offers her support if he does the work himself. Akshat agrees and heads to his room.
Later that evening, Kapil arrives for dinner. Pratima tells him Mangal hasn’t come home yet and her phone is unreachable. She expresses concern, saying it’s their responsibility to look after her since she’s staying with them. She asks Kapil to check on her, and he agrees.
Kapil reaches Adit’s house, where Mangal greets him and notices his injury. She thanks him again for helping her earlier. Kapil jokes that she’s a “one-woman army” who doesn’t need saving. Mangal smiles and asks why he came so late. Kapil explains that his mother was worried, especially since she hadn’t returned for dinner and couldn’t be contacted. Mangal apologizes, saying she forgot to inform them, and tells him she has decided to stay at Adit’s place for a while to care for the children. She also mentions working from home until Ishana recovers. Kapil understands and leaves. On his way out, he crosses paths with Adit but doesn’t say anything.
At midnight, Ishana tries to sneak out for a party. Mangal stops her, asking where she’s going at that hour. Ishana retorts, questioning who Mangal is to interfere. Mangal expresses concern for her safety, but Ishana dismisses her and tries to walk out. When Mangal questions her about the friends she’s been meeting, Ishana snaps, saying she owes no explanations. Mangal locks her in the room. Sowmya witnesses the incident from a distance. Concerned that her father and grandmother will find out Ishana sneaks out at night, Ishana stays silent. Sowmya, however, sees an opportunity and plans to use the situation to push Mangal out of the house.
The next morning, Mangal notices Kusum eating biscuits with tea alone. In the kitchen, Kamala informs her that the kids usually eat packaged snacks for breakfast, Adit just has toast, and Sowmya skips breakfast altogether. Mangal recalls how the family once used to share breakfast together. When Sowmya walks in, she warns Mangal not to interfere in kitchen matters and insists that Akshat should eat what he likes—especially pancakes. Mangal calmly responds that she’ll make fresh, healthy food for the kids, and no one can stop her.
Later, Mangal prepares pancakes for Akshat and Kapil and leaves a note for Akshat, encouraging him to enjoy the meal she made just for him.
She then hands Akshat his lunch, which he happily accepts. Mangal also prepares lunch for Kapil and asks Adit to deliver it, but he refuses. Determined, Mangal decides to take it herself. As she leaves, Adit, distracted by the school bus horn, accidentally gives Kapil’s lunchbox to Akshat and takes Akshat’s lunchbox instead.
Later, Mangal visits Ishana’s room and suggests she rest. Ishana insists on going out to meet her friends. Mangal reminds her she’s still unwell and offers her turmeric milk. Ishana coldly responds that if Mangal truly cared, she wouldn’t have abandoned them before—then walks away with a biting remark.
