Kapil asks Pratima what’s on her mind and suggests they head home. Pratima, concerned about the delay in her plan, steps aside to call her man and learns the ceiling collapse is imminent. At that moment, Mangal notices the danger and warns Shanti just in time. Kapil saves Shanti, and while Mangal checks on her mother, Kapil takes Mangal’s hands in concern. Mangal pulls away awkwardly, and Pratima, observing this, believes her scheme is succeeding—Shanti’s house is now uninhabitable.
When Pratima joins them, Shanti explains the incident and mentions the house was recently repaired. Mangal tries to comfort her. Kapil declares the house unsafe, prompting Mangal to suggest finding a rental or hotel. Shanti refuses to go to the Saxena house due to severed ties. Pratima offers her own house, reminding them they’re about to become family. She secretly hopes that Mangal and Kapil living together will help her plan succeed.
Meanwhile, Kusum urges Sudesh to take his medicine, and Adit, seeing Mangal’s absence, suggests Lipika take care of Shanti. Adit tries calling Mangal but fails to reach her and decides to go himself, despite Sowmya’s irritation.
Back at Pratima’s house, Kapil offers to arrange a hotel, but Pratima insists Shanti should stay with them and urges Mangal to agree. Shanti, touched by the gesture, accepts. Later, Kapil tells Mangal he doesn’t want their friendship to suffer because of the marriage and asks if she’s truly happy. Mangal confesses she agreed only for her mother’s sake. Kapil encourages her to make her own choice.
Before Mangal can respond, Akshat calls. As she turns, Adit appears, sarcastically commenting on her stay at Kapil’s house and urging her to come home. Mangal insists she was about to leave and asks Kapil to call her in case of an emergency. Pratima watches, determined to sever Mangal’s ties with the Saxena family.
At the Saxena house, Mangal tells Kusum she couldn’t make a decision without speaking to her and apologizes for coming late. When Kusum urges her to speak the truth, Mangal finally decides to open up.
